The company had repaired leaks in my 1996 barrel tile roof after the 2005 hurricane season. Other leaks occurred with the recent hurricane, so I decided to go with a metal roof. I knew that barrel tile roofs do not prevent rain infiltration onto the underlayment, allowing water flows into valleys to erode the underlayment, causing the leaks and rot. The code underlayment quoted (2 separate layers) is more robust now, but I ordered at extra cost an even more robust underlayment. The company contact was more than helpful in arranging for "custom" installation. The installation team was meticulous in doing the custom work, very professional, the company contact checked in every day, my property was cleaner when they left, the office answered all my inquiries within 24 hours, a real homeowner-friendly contractor. If I lived further inland, I have no doubt I would have been equally happy with the standard installation.

Jose and Joanne explained process, steps, and timelines very well. Jose help us choose the perfect tile color to best complement the house paint color and trim. The crews were efficient, timely, dependable, polite, and extremely debris conscious. They are amazing. The roof looks terrific and has demonstrated no issues or problems. We are completely happy with the work and will continue to have the company inspect, monitor, and service as needed.

I am very satisfied with the job A. Palmer Roofing did in replacing the shingle roof and the flat roof on the patio. I obtained proposals from five roofers. I selected Palmer because: 1) They were highly rated on Angie's List. 2) Although not the lowest price, their price was competitive. 3) All work is performed by their employees. They don't use sub-contractors. 4) When trying to make a final selection, they were helpful in providing a list of homes where they had recently completed installations. We began the process to replace the roof in March 2017 and signed a contract for a tile roof in May 2017. We paid the deposit but decided to wait until after the hurricane season before having a new rood installed. We changed our minds and revised the contract to install a shingle roof. We initially worked with Reuben and then with Jose. They were helpful throughout the process and answered many questions we had. We ordered GAF Timberline Ultra HD shingles which was a special order. Palmer started the job in early March. Once they started, their crew showed up every day. My neighbors have had experiences with roofers where the crew shows up for a day or two and then does not come back for a week. This drags out the project. This certainly was not the case with Palmer. The crew did an excellent job of cleaning up at the end of each day. Palmer uses a truck to remove the old roofing material, not a dumpster. The real measure of the performance of a contractor is how a problem is handled. The roofing supplier miscalculated the number of bundles needed for our roof and shorted the delivery. Palmer discover the problem when the shingles were put on. Since our shingles were special ordered, Palmer had to go out of their way to find the additional shingles needed. The rest of the shingles were delivered within two weeks and the crew was here the next day to finish the job.

Andy provided excellent service and communication. We were interrupted by Hurricane Irma, but Andy got us ready before the storm hit. His workers were on time and tidy. I highly recommend A Palmer Roofing. They did a great job.

We had hired A. Palmer Roofing, Inc. for several jobs over many years to maintain/repair old roof. When it became apparent that it was time to replace the entire roof we went directly to this company. If you are lucky to get Mr. Jose Faria, as your Project Manager, you will be in excellent hands. Mr. Faria spent a lot of time getting us ready for this major renovation. He ordered many samples of tile and completely apprised us of the timelines for each phase of this project. Upon execution of the contract, he took care of all the paperwork for the official permit and coordinated all necessary inspections with the building department. All inspections passed first time. During demo of the existing roof it became apparent that much of the plywood base was rotted. All rotted plywood, including wood in horizontal/vertical surfaces, surrounding roof, was replaced. Two types of underlayment, galvanized metal sheeting, new lead stacks to all plumbing pipes, 13" concrete tile was installed. Mr. Faria coordinated the detachment/reattachment of the pool cage with a separate subcontractor. There was a couple of different crews working on this project. One group handled the demo and second crew installed the new tile/trims etc. It was an amazing amount of manpower and each day, they came to the house around 7:30 a.m. in the morning and were working right up to early evening. These crews were focused on our house and were not being moved around to other projects until they were finished with us. I think our new roof looks absolutely beautiful. We have received many compliments from neighbors on how it turned out and the workmanship, they observed, going into it.

Exorbitant price. Fast response for the estimate. Kept making appointmentS to come fix the problem and not showing up, and NOT notifying me that they were not coming to the work site. I even got on the phone with them explaining that when they tell me they are coming "tomorrow" between certain hours, this is what happens: I stay home waiting for them, I keep the dogs inside, I keep the gates open, and most importantly, I WAIT for them. My explanation did not stir the agent in the least, he just said, ok, we will be there "tomorrow" EVENTUALLY, they came and did a great roof repair. Is everyone in Miami ok with this utter lack of respect for people's time? Is it like in other countries where tomorrow does not mean tomorrow?It just means NOT TODAY FOR SURE. Go figure how we can be a productive economy with such operational methods.

Excellent! Roofing technician kept me informed every step of the way and the end product was very clean and neat. Very professional and will use them again. Their quoted was price was also very competitive as to the other quotes I obtained.

The job occurred almost exactly when promised. The A. Palmer staff has great communication skills and talked to us, sometimes daily. We knew from the beginning that there might be other work needed once the re-roofing began. We got calls, photos and estimates in a timely manner. No problem with permits. All in all a very good experience.

It went fine

On May 17, I contracted with Palmer Roofing to repair a leak, seal, and coat a rusted valley, and remove or repair broken tiles on the area of my roof surrounding a pipe that extends from roof to ground on the right side of my house. I was home when the repairman came Wednesday, May 25. He spent approximately 45 minutes on my roof. He left without any commentary or any indication he had done the work specified in the contract. I questioned whether the work contracted had been met and asked Palmer Roofing for "before and after" pictures of my roof and the area affected. I received some twelve photos, unidentified, before and after photos of "my" roof. I told the owner I would take my own pictures of the roof and did so May 31 to confirm the work had been done. The photos I took in no way resemble the photos the owner of Palmer Roofing sent me. There is still discoloration, large cracks, broken tiles. and a dirty, rusted valley. I had already complained to owner May 27. He reacted emotionally, by email, to suggestions of fraud, yet he offered to refund my entire deposit and claimed I was a difficult client. May 31, however, he emailed, asking to inspect the roof and make corrections. When I told him I did not want further contact with Palmer Roofing, just my deposit back, he promised as yet unfulfilled restitution on my Visa card. In fact, he drove by my house uninvited May 31 and was trying to take more pictures of my roof from the sidewalk as I discussed my problem with an Angie's List representative, who heard my exchange with the owner. Why he would try to take more pictures is open to debate. I found his behavior threatening. I am currently waiting for a refund from Palmer Roofing. I have asked my city inspectors to look at area as well in order to verify that, as of May 31, my roof remains un-repaired. I will have photos taken by two independent sources to support my claim that Palmer Roofing failed to meet its contractual obligations.

I am very happy with the workmanship of the workers (Luis and David).  The definitely new what they were doing!!!  They payed attention to detail and were very professional in talking with me.  They made sure to replace some moldings on the porch which were affected by the replacement of the fascia and even painted the drip edge which I was not expecting.  I was very surprised and pleased with their attention to detail.  Because of the weather they had two come back two times (within the same week) to finish the work and they came back when they said they would.  I am extremely happy with my experience with A Palmer Roofing and would definitely recommend this company.

They were 100% professional. They were timely and very clean. Their price was very competitive. Also when I showed them an estimate that was a bit lower they went ahead and matched it. The roof came out beautiful and I couul not be happier! I hardly ever recommend anyone but with Palmer Roofing I'm totally confidant to do so.
