Our experience with Skye Builders Group and Dennis was the worst we have ever had with a contractor. So many things went wrong with this project I do not know where to begin. For starters, we were give an expected time of completion of 10 days. However, 45 days later and when Dennis went unresponsive for a full week, we had to fire Skye Builders Group and hire another contractor to finish the job. The numerous lies and excuses were soon insulting and our understanding and patience was exhausted. Furthermore, we were quoted 1550 sq ft for the space but we shortly realized the total space was no more than 1000 sq ft. When we brought this up to Dennis, he promised to remeasure but never did. We also mentioned the amount of left over stone along with a completely unopened pallet. We were told this was a free pallet the distributor provided due to the initial shipping delays. If so, where was our discount The stone for the coping around the pool was not the same material of the rest of the deck and not what we ordered. The coping is more of a gray tone while the deck is on the brownish side like our house. We also brought this detail up immediately only to get more excuses and empty promises. Our pool and spa were left full of stains, blotches of grout and cement all over. We had to remove most of it with a spatula ourselves with many areas remaining stained unless we acid wash or resurface the pool. Dennis was terrible at returning our calls or texts. In most cases we wouldn’t hear from him for 3 days. Don’t be fooled by his initial nice persona. Unfortunately, we were and everyone should avoid this contractor at all costs.

We brought this up to Dennis and he kept promising he would remeasure but never did. The new contractor which completed the job confirmed our doubts. Skye Builders kept an unopened pallet of stone and we never received a credit. We were told the distributor shipped an extra pallet as a courtesy for delays in the initial shipment. This leads me to the next issue which was the stone placed around the coping was not what we ordered. Our pool and spa were left in horrible conditions with grout all over and blotches if cement in the pool which we had to remove with a spatula. Some areas are now stained and won’t look the same unless acid washed or maybe even resurfaced. Dennis was very unresponsive and would ignore our text and calls most of the times. We would sometimes go 3 days or more without hearing from him. So many empty promises were made for over a month to complete the job with only more excuses shortly there after when the deadline was not met.

Dennis and his team are amazing. This is the second time I've used him for a project and he's a true professional and super nice guy. I wish there were more contractors like him out there. Always on time, always great communication. Goes out of his way to make sure the job is done right. He's made our vision come to life and exceeded our expectations. Will always recommend him to people I know because I know he will do a great job. Thank you Dennis!

Great job. Was well pleased by work done.

It went fantastic it went so good in fact that now I'm having them come back to the house to redo the surrounding areas around the pool and to replace all of the original pavers that came with the house with new ones to match the work they did last year. Since they have pool building experience they also repaired a leak in our pool Jets in quick order much cheaper than the local pool company.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME LOOKING FOR ANOTHER ESTIMATE... In a city that's so difficult to find a good, honest contractor especially a pool one, Dennis and his team was truly a pleasure to work with. After getting over 7 estimates in this process and realizing how all were inconsistent we lost hope in finding a decent pool contractor that we could trust until we met Dennis. He took the time to make sure he answered all our questions and explained every step of the construction process. We wanted our renovation to perfect so we made many changes during the whole comstruction and no matter what we threw his way he always made sure that the process went smoothly. One of his best qualities was his follow thru. Its always a pleasure to be able to call your contractor and you get a response almost immediately. As in any project there is always going to be hiccups, however with Dennis everything was resolved with the utmost professionalism. Thank you Dennis for helping us create our little piece of paradise.

Excellent. When Dennis and team said they would be there, they were. One of the subs he hired ran into some minor production delays and Dennis was upfront about the change in timing and his team worked hard to make sure we stayed on target to meet our deadline. Highly recommend!
