Individual representing the Company (Tommy/associated with posted phone #) is NOT licensed. He took money as a deposit, mixture of cash and credit card. Card charge was reported to AMEX as fraudulent and within 30 minutes another charge was put thru. Magic City Contractors phone number goes to Check Mark roofing and the credit charge is another company. None of the entities are licensed under Sunbiz nor hold a contractors license by Lens Lezeau. It is my understanding that Angie's sales department is required to confirm licensing for their referred companies however, this could not have been completed dilligently.

Stay away from this crooks. This scammer took $2000 and did not show up. First class scammer. do not fall for it. Run away. Contacted angi. They simply said they won?t take any action. What a fraud platform they are running if you can not vet your vendors. This guy is running multiple companies with different phone numbers and names praying on home owners. They will send you invoice and even send you an accomplice to your home to give you quote . And take deposit and run away. Never lifts phone. Angi suggested MagicCity Contracting Pro for my project for repairing Facia boards and replacing gutters all across my house. But the contract contained more than that as mentioned below : 1. Apply new facia boards around entire exterior house 2. Apply new gutters with gutter with helmets and four downspouts 3. Clean roof of all dirt and loose debris by power washing using a commercial grade power washer 4. Replace all broken tiles where needed 5. Apply a clear roof coating over entire roof They came on Thursday(1/2/2025) right in the morning at 9 AM and started behaving as if they are going to complete work, but owner was always forcing me to give money for new gutters that needs to be ordered for next day. So I went out and got cash for $2000 and then paid person called Henry who came for pressure washing. Soon after that he said he will buy 5-6 broken tiles for my roof and also put an order for gutter and come back. He did come back in an hour while other person was just wasting time on my roof. Soon after that he said he will complete pressure wash and apply clear coating as per listed set of services above, but as soon as I went inside for my lunch, they just drove away without informing me. After that I did call owner (954-383-5148) who was in touch and he said they went to buy tiles to Miami as it was not found in my city and soon after that he started just pushing time to 4PM, 5PM,6PM and then next day(Friday - (1/3/2025) ) 9AM sharp and whole of Friday he started ignoring my calls and just texting "we will make it" until 6PM . Later he said he will meet Saturday (1/4/2025) and now again as I fill this I try calling him and he just sends me to voicemail.
