Tuck's Tree & Landscaping

First talked to Mr. Tuck July 24th(Thursday), we discussed the job and agreed on the set price. He was to start the job July 25th(Friday) and told me he would be finishing it July 26th(Saturday). I Thought great, but the same weekend we were having the bathroom remolded so the 26th we were going to be out of town. He met my wife on the 25th at the house because i told him i would pay him for the job cause i was going to be out of town and I didn't want him to be with out pay when the job was done.... BIG MISTAKE. I got his number from our Landscapers so I thought I could trust him. He did not start the job on the 25th and started it on the 26th. When we returned to our house on the 27th One tree was 1/4 down and my yard still had the whole tree in the yard, So I called and he said he hit a snag and will be finishing it up. Some time has past and he never showed up and I never received any update or call. He was out of town due to family emergency which is completely fine and completely excusable. I just had no clue what was going and have already paid the full amount for the job. So that one week of coarse was not a problem for me. I let time pass maybe only calling once every week or two but just kept getting excuse after excuse, then Mr. Tuck started getting annoyed and hostile with me because I would be calling frustrated because the job has not been completed. He is taking on new jobs and pushing mine off to the side, maybe showing up on a Saturday for an hour or so. Its now November 18th and the job has not been competed, still have two stumps that need be cut down and large section of the tree still in my yard. He has given me every excuse in the book and I have been beyond patient with him only calling once every week to week and half to just get an update. He never kept me in the loop to let me know if something happened, that is if anything actually did to cause him to not be able to finish the job.

The other reviews give Tuck's a great rating and say they did a great job. I wouldn't really know because although I called Tuck's and arranged for them to come give me an estimate, the person that was sent out to my house had on a shirt for a different tree company and his voicemail (the guy that came out, not the number listed for Tuck's) had yet another tree company mentioned. So....this review is for the person that Tuck's apparently contracted out to becuase they didn't have time to do my job (I'm assuming). The guy was initially punctual, nice, and quoted me a better price than the other 3 estimates I had recieved, so I scheduled him. He was almost 2 hours late for the actual trimming appointment, didn't do all the trimming we had discussed, and failed to completely clean the debris off my roof. Also, the stump I asked him to grind (from a tree that was cut down years ago), was simply cut further down as he did not bring the proper equipment to grind the stump. I'm giving the experience a B overall because ultimately the work was done (just not as wonderfully as I had hoped, but maybe I am picky) and the price was better than other companies. But I wish Mr. Tuck would have simply told me he didn't have time and let find another company on my own rather than subbing out my job without explaining that to me. (I went along with it because I had already recieved a few quotes and I needed to just get the work done and over with.) Mr. Tuck and his guys might do great work, but it's hard to control quality and the customer experience when you "outsource" a job.

After reading this don't read any other review, you can stop right here and call Mr Tuck 407-715-7925 and you will be very pleased. I requested they come at a specific time and they were right on time. They did all the work they had promised and then some. They cleaned up my yard and left it looking better than before they arrived. Mr. Tuck and his crew were very pleasant and helpful. I hope you will call them for your tree needs, you will not be disappointed. I was given a quote and that is what I paid. I will use this service again.

IMr. Tuck came out the same day I called and gave me a GREAT price (compared to other estimates I got) to take down 4 large pine trees and haul them away. I accepted his price and 4 nice men came the very next day, on time, with a large truck and trailer. One guy, the climber, went up the trees and did the cutting, and the other three stayed on the ground and chopped and loaded up the downed tree. I was amazed at what a great job the climber did dropping the tree that was leaning over my wood fence, on a windy day, with the wind going in the wrong direction. I didn't see any way he could drop the top 20 feet of that tree without taking out my fence but darned if he didn't drop it exactly where he said he would and never got near the fence! Job well done, nice, polite, friendly gentlemen, all. They were all very nice to my kids too :) Thanks Tuck!

He is punctual, professional and responsive. He has done some extra work at times and has not charged me for it. The quality of his work is very good and I have been satisfied with his service.
