To anyone renting. I highly suggest taking pictures to cover your ***. I was extremely disappointed how they handled returning our security deposit. I had to dispute the claim of them withholding $700 of our deposit. I’m just irritated for the time and money I spend putting together my objection, along with the delay of our full deposit. I’m thankful for all the pictures I took, before and after move out. I was able to prove we left the rental house cleaner than move in. And the damages they tried to charge us for was noted prior to us renting. It took nearly 2 months to get our full refund minus $125, that they charged for lightly trimming a bush that was close to a window/fascia board. I just didn’t argue that amount because I was ready to wash my hands of them to get the remainder of our deposit. As far as our rental experience prior to move out, we didn’t have any issues for we were not problematic renters. We gave ample notice as required that we would not renew at the end of our year lease. We were cooperative with showing the house to new prospects, along with moving out 2 weeks early. I was prepared to give a good review until they tried to keep an unjustifiable $700 of our deposit.
