I scheduled an apt. with Waterfront Solutions (aka JOHNSEN AMPHIBIOUS MARINE) in mid-November and met with a gentlemen named Mickey on November 24th, 2015. He was very professional and informative. I later learned he is not a full time employee, but handles their initial quote meetings as a consultant, which is a shame because he was the most professional part of this experience. After our meeting, on 11/24/15 I emailed documents he requested immediately. Fifteen days after my mtg with Mickey, after hearing nothing back, I emailed the office to follow up on the bid. There was no response. A week after that (now 20 business days from our meeting), I called the office and was treated rather rudely by the lady who answered the phone. I was under the distinct impression I was bothering her. She sounded exacerbated that I would call and ask for a bid. She said they'd "work on it" then hung up abruptly.
Finally on 12/15/15, 25 days after the initial meeting, I received a bid from a gentleman named Don, via a lady named Donna. By now we were firmly into the holidays and no work would begin till after the first of the year. Although I emailed back a few questions, I never received a response. In an apparent exercise in futility, I called again this past Tuesday 2/9/16 to follow up with my questions and try to set up a meeting to review the site in person and discuss a start date. Again, Donna wasn't too happy to speak with me. It's now 2/12/16 an I haven't received a return call nor email. Our job is not small; about $18k-$20k. Guess they're too busy. Upfront honesty about their schedule and expectations would be appreciated. Professionalism goes a long way to win future business in this word-of-mouth town.

Want to edit the other review. Called them again and they came out knew I was the one that gave them a bad review. This time we talked and then sent a quote back. I asked for a couple different quotes and each one was sent back promptly. Also I had someone else come out to give me a quote and when I told them what I needed they said to call waterfront!

When I first contacted Don at waterfront and set up an appointment I had already had 2 previous estimates. Don was prompt and on time for our appointment. He was very professional and listened carefully to my wishes. They were very competitive on the prices and in most cases were a better bargain for your buck. I live in an HOA neighborhood and had to contact them numerous times for different demands from the HOA for additional information. Donna in the office was very receptive and promptly responded to my requests. They informed me that getting required permits was running about 3 weeks. Be very patient because it took every bit of it as 5 permits were required. Once the permits were received they began work the very next week. I have worked with numerous contractors and crews and have to say I was genuinely impressed with the crews that were sent out. I want to give a shout out to the three that were on the job every day (which starts around 8am). Mark, Dave, and Eric, were on time every day and were very knowledgeable. They began with a plan and followed it to the letter. The first few days they had multiple crews working and were able to complete the seawall and dock in 6 days. Mark and Dave came out on a Saturday to finish the work. The next week was the backfill to grade and sod the disturbed areas. Everyone they sent were polite, courteous, and knew their job well. All crews worked extremely well together. They were cautious with my property as it was their own. The entire job took about 2 weeks as they had told me. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting a premier company with professionalism and integrity. They are a class A company that does an outstanding job. We have had numerous compliment's from our neighbors and some are adding the same work to their bucket list of things to do. I have recommended to them to look to Waterfront solutions for their work. Thank you waterfront for the great job. We are very happy with our work.

Told them when out home inspection was being done & they arranged to meet at the same time. The quite was free & informed us nothing needed repaired/replaced.

They were there most every day until the job was done. The quality of the workmanship was good, they went out of their way to satisfy me. They re-poured the cap on the seawall when it didn't match up with my existing one, without being asked. (The previous homeowner had put new seawall up to both sides of existing old dock, so I only needed the middle part of the seawall replaced.) They did have to notch out two spots on my dock to give the lift clearance. Ten years after installation at this point and the dock has a slight seaward lean to it as I have to pull on one of the lift cables opposite side from the notches to get clearance for the lift bunkers to pass the dock when the boat is being raised or lowered. I also had composite decking installed adding about another 1000 to 1500 to project but am soooooo glad I did. I think I've had to pressure wash my decking twice in ten years, while my neighbors are forever staining, etc.

Waterfront Solutions was very prompt in meeting with us and giving us an estimate of work to be done.  Don and his employees were very professional, on time each day and cleaned up all debris. Even though the weather was often raining, they continued  to work and did an outstanding job.

Excellent workmanship, very responsive, very helpful.  Willing to work with you and will "go the extra mile" to make everything right.

They did an excellent job. They knew exactly where it would go, and the restrictions in the area.

Poor customer feed back: He came to our house the first week if April 2014 and never called us back with a quite to build our dock. We called his office x 4 and talked with his secretary and again never got a call back. Would never use him because if this factor.

Guys did a great job. Worked hard. Made sure I was happy with work.

It took about two weeks to get the lift in and start the work. The piling crew were knowledgeable and professional and the installation went without a hitch. The very next day the carpenter, jim, started and the dock is better than I expected and I am pickey .There was a short delay on the electric but that is because I had to have proper power to the site. within minutes of supply installation Bill hooked me up and wired it in. we had a minor problem with the remote but it was fixed within a day after it was discovered. By the way final payment had already been made. Yesterday I called and indicated that it was not level side to side, the crew showed up before 8AM, which is normal start time for this company, showed me the error of MY ways and all is perfect.
From supervision to the new helper assistants these people are fantastic to work with, knowledgeable and very professional.

They did an excellent job.

They only thing they had to come back for was to make the grass sod (that the equipment messes up) look better in a few places.  They did that with out any problems.

Work was completed on time. Quality was excellent. I have had no issues in the 2+ years since the installation.
