We had gotten some estimates from other companies but our air was OUT and it was the one random February week that it had gotten very warm, making our home warm and stagnant... with an infant this was not a good time to worry about AC. Nathan Iacobacci, the owner of Weather Engineers quickly gave me an estimate over the phone and sent over a proposal, it was very thorough and reasonable and he actually was able to let us know that the unit we previously had was too small for our home. So he offered a larger unit, more efficient, with a 10 yr parts and labor warranty when other companies, the closest comparison, offered 10 yr parts and 5 yr labor. To top it off he got a crew to come in on overtime and put the unit in ASAP for my wife and infants comfort. The workers came in the mid morning knowing that they would finish around 4, to respect our Saturday morning, they were polite, professional and well presented. They were very kind, introduced themselves, show us what they were doing, how they were going to install, and cleaned up after themselves. They had everything prepared for the inspector in a folder and gave us tips on how to keep the new filter system pristine. The payment and transition was flawless, they handled our fpl discount and since I paid via credit card over the phone sent out a receipt the following day. I would highly recommend them for all your heating and cooling needs.
office is a real headache. I find the woman who deals with contracts, billing and scheduling is just on her own planet. At this point my contract and billing is so messed up and confusing that I have simply given up on it.
As for the actual work done it seems adequate and professional. The only thing that is difficult is they often will ask for an all day window to schedule an appointment and that is just crazy to sit around for 8 hours and waste an entire work day. After debating for a length of time with the brick wall scheduler it is possible to get a 4 hour window which still just seems silly to me but better than 8 hours.
If you can put up with their office personnel they do a decent and professional job for you at a good price.
One of the main reasons I chose this company aside that it is a Carrier dealer was their 10-year labor warrantee.
Furthermore, since I've had other HVAC contractors out doding estimates, I've been told by all of them that he installed the duct board in my return INSIDE OUT! No biggie, but jeeze Louise, such a simple thing and it was done WRONG!
See update, above. You have to go behind these people and check EVERYTHING!
They did a very good job. They were punctual. They did everything I asked them to do.
because of the size of the system it is still not right, still costing us money!!!
