I have a shed built onto the side of my home with vinyl siding that matches the house. The problem occurred when a previous siding installer put a track on the bottom of the doors that accumulated water instead of diverting it away. The wood continued to get wet so the wood rotted and termites moved in. Tim is a great communicator and we discussed a time to come over for an estimate and he was on time. I accepted the estimate and said he would do the job after the holidays. True to his word, he emailed me and said Eddie would be coming out. Eddie is a great worker and knows his business and removed all the siding and the rotten wood and completed one door, reinstalling the siding (which I had) and new trim which they supplied. The other door was worse than expected and needed more wood and labor but I was not charged more than the estimate. They came back together the next day to complete the job.
I highly recommend this company. I will use them in the future if I ever need any siding or soffit work.
The quality of their workmanship was excellent. Our home has some odd geometric sections to cover, and this crew dealt with these handily. All too often you find people that are in a rush to complete a job, which was not the case here. They paid great attention to detail and we are very happy with the finished work.
As we were ready to proceed with the carport work, I contacted Tim and requested he visit our property again and submit a new bid. He was prompt in his response to this request and in submitting that bid, adjusted from the prior one to include a ceiling surface on a section of roof that overhangs the front of the house by about 10 feet. The new bid was acceptable to us, we accepted and Tropical had the work completed the following day.
We are very pleased with the results, as was Tim and his crew. He regrets not having before and after pictures and the change is quite striking and a significant improvement to our home's appearance and general security.
Tim is easy to work with, comfortable to do business with and I would not hesitate to tap into his company, their skills and expertise in the future, should the need arise. If you are considering soffit work - repair or replacement - you really should include Tropical Siding &Soffit in the mix when you're checking out providers.
Came out to inspect the property the day after I requested a quote for service. As we walked around the house together we discussed what needed to be done and how it needed to be done, material options, etc. I received their quote the next day via email. I also had quotes from two other firms for the same work. Prices were close and Tropical was a little lower, but I felt best about the plan they presented for the replacement, so went with them.
We determined a start date, based on completion status of roof work I was having done. Tropical arrived and began work exactly on time, proceeded as we had discussed, wrapped up and cleaned up as scheduled.
The job was exactly what I wanted - complete removal of old soffit material, application of needed supports for new soffit system, and installation of the same. In addition to the vinyl soffit, they also installed aluminum facia covering. The result is really remarkable and a big step toward bringing this old house up to needed standards to be our home for many years.
Tim and company are very knowledgeable and very skilled. They are easy to work with and answered all my questions with good explanation.
I have additional work in my carport I will re-engage them for in the near future.
Great personality and honest
