The initial contact was very encouraging over the phone as there are a lot of home sales happening in the area. I set up an appointment with them to meet my husband at the property. After waiting 45 minutes, my husband called me to let me know he was leaving the property without talking to anyone from Richards. I called Richards and left messages indicating that my husband was leaving the property after 45 minutes of waiting. The agent from Richards mishandled the appointment and apologized for the misunderstanding. As a consequence, we did not pay Richards until the report was ready. The appraisal report was ready in 8 days after the initial date of service. I had to contact them asking for the report instead of my expectation would be that Richards would provide us with status and proposed completion date for delivery of the appraisal. This was not the case ... I had to reach out and request the status and the anticipated date of completion after the 7th calendar day after the date of service.
I picked up the report on the 9th calendar day after the date of service and paid $325 for the report, which I would have thought a "good faith" discount might have been applied considering that our time and efforts were wasted managing Richards.
The report was thorough, professionally done, and complete. It was worth the money we paid for it.
