They did a great job!
The faucet was 20 years old and I could not get it off at all. the joints and hardware were "frozen" They resolved my problem, replaced hardware that I got to leak, and did an excellent job of all of it.
Also, the shelves in the closet had ripped out of the wall. They carefully installed a new system, even tying it into the surviving shelving system.
Dana and his helper were professional, pleasant to have in our home, well experienced in what they were doing, took their time and did a neat job. When finished, they carefully cleaned up.
I will definitely contact them in the future!
The price he quoted me was around $125 labor to paint the garage. $50 to clean off a shelf. When he got there he said that was for the walls only and did not include the inside garage door, ceiling and trim so this would be another $250 labor which I thought was high but I reluctantly agreed. Then, he suggested he could paint the garage floor but never gave an estimate. He started the work then emailed me that night it would be another $400 labor and he would have to do 2 coats and visits! Dana and his assistant (a man from Cameroon) took everything out of my garage and put it in the driveway for 3 days. What a mess! I told them they were disrupting my home and suggested they give estimates before proceeding with work.
Mind you, all these prices are for his labor only. I spent hundreds of dollars on paint, supplies, floor primer, etc. I had to make several runs to Home Depot wasting a lot of my time.
We had discussed him doing some shelves but when I questioned the high fees he was charging and the lack of estimate the next morning he came back offended became very unpleasant and said he would not do the shelves and he just finish the garage floor. His demeanor and his assistants demeanor became disrespectful. For the $800 they were there from about 9am to 3pm (with luch break) and the second day just an hour. Their sloppy cleanup was about 45 minutes, he had told me it would be another $150 to do some organization. Every small task was another large labor charge, great work if you can get it!
FYI, as of 5/24/2013 doing a name search on www.myfloridalicense.com it states under License Type "Certified Residential Contractor" and under Name is Dana A. Treadwell, Name Type is Primary and under Status/Expires is "Eligible for Exam."
I WOULD NOT recommend this individual or company.
