I called PINGSTON ELECTRIC to check out a breaker that kept tripping. A simple breaker switch was replaced and I was charged $469. It was a 20 minute job and I was charged for almost 2 hours of time. When questioned I was told it was commute time. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Also, 2 electricians were sent and I was charged by the hour for both!!!! I do not see the need for 2 electricians to change a breaker. I would stay away from this company....unless you like being taken advantage of. $469 to replace a circuit breaker, that they were told was tripping..... unjustifiable!

The following work was performed: (1) electrical inspection, 01/25/18, $175 (price rating: A); (2) "LOAD" side improvements & repairs, 02/13/18, $1,636 (price rating: A); and, (3) power distribution assembly, plus "LINE" side improvements & repairs, 02/15/18, $2,432 (price rating: B). For Item (2) above: improved, repaired, replaced, or added: (1) doorbell button, (2) smoke and CO detector, (3) phone wall jacks, (4) secure feed and outside disconnect panel to sprinkler system time clock, (5) seven (7) Customer Furnished Equipment (CFE) light fixtures, (6) kitchen lights ballast and bulbs, (7) dimmer to dining room lights, (8) GFCI to protect 3 kitchen, 2 garage, master and second bath receptacles, (9) new receptacle for garage door opener, and (10) switch and receptacle replacement in master bath. For Item (3) above: improved, repaired, replaced, or added: (1) Siemens 200A power distribution assembly with service ground and ancillary hardware, (2) main breaker disconnect assembly, (3) 3-wire feed to 4-wire feed replacement, and (4) panel circuit schedule update. Item (3) included building permit, inspection, along with Florida Power and Light (FPL) coordination. The technicians assigned to this project did an excellent job in terms of technical quality and workmanship. Their familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC) was quite important for the execution of the work required.

When our power came back on after hurricane Irma, one phase had 140+ volts, and the other had 100± volts. Pingston was able to diagnose the problem over the phone as I described the issues we had with lights, appliances, etc. They told me to save myself the cost of a service call because it was an FPL issue. They also told me how to describe it to FPL. However, the person I spoke with at FPL - for whatever reason - did not see it that way. To make the story shorter, I had to call Pingston back, and they came to the house. While the electrician was here and telling me exactly what to say to FPL over the phone, an FPL truck showed up on our street! Ultimately FPL did indeed fix the issue at the power pole. Pingston's electrician (Gabriel) hung around for a while and answered all kinds of question I had regarding our appliances that were "fried" by this power imbalance, and other general questions as well.

Great work! Gabriel replaced the ballast in kitchen lighting fixture, also recognized that the fixture was loose so installed a new toggle to keep it in place. Dug a trench out in the backyard to relocate a plug built for an above-ground pool. Installed wires to move outlet from the middle of the yard back to the outer fence line. Great work done in a timely matter. Technician was very kind and professional. Would definitely recommend.

They were really good. They were fine. They came when they said they would come. They could have fixed somethings, fixed the wall plates instead they said to call another company. I would have preferred if he would have made a better recommendation or actually fixed the wall plates. But for the most part he was very good.
