Charles was the best value for the money. I called several tree cutting companies and the prices were all over the place. Several of them were way overpriced because I believe they were price gauging after Hurricane Irma. Charles showed up promptly at 8am and got to work right away. He was knowledgeable and his team was courteous and professional! The seagrape was a beast that had overgrown and fallen on the house after Hurricane Irma. His team cut the tree down in pieces so nothing fell in the neighbors' yard or on the fence. They hauled everything away and even threw in a few small trees to cut and grind for a small price. It took them about three to four days to complete the job but when they were done, you wouldn't have even known they were there. They left nothing unfinished. Charles even came back out a day or so after they were done and fixed a sprinkler line that he accidentally cut with his grinder when the root of a tree was intertwined with it. Top notch service with a smile!

They hauled everything away and even cut a few 1' segments that I can use as plant stands or landscaping accents. They were done by around 10am. No fuss, no mess. Professional, courteous, and efficient.

Charles and his team were professionals. They were punctual, polite, and hard working. The five trees that were trimmed  are well shaped and look much better than before. The Brazilian peppers that they cut down were large and insidious and took quite a bit of work to cut apart and haul away.
Both my lawn and our adjacent lot were completely clean when they were finished. I will definitely use them again.

Charles and his two workers did an incredible job. Charles works with precision. He is obviously very highly skilled.  His work is thoughtful and deliberate. This was a challenging job and he knew just what and how to execute every cut. There was no hesitation on his part. After watching him for just a short while I knew he was skilled and knew what he was doing. It's always a relief to find out you've hired a competent and trustworthy worker. I would highly recommend Charles if you have any need for an arborist. He was very pleasant and easy to work with. And took all the time needed to explain what he was doing. He's the most professional person I've had to do work around my house.

Through Angie's list we contacted two arborist's to assess the status of a laurel oak. Both companies were prompt and professional and determined the tree was dying from a fungus. However, the estimates for removal were far apart: $600 versus $300. After deliberation we decided to go with the lower estimate by Picturesque Lawns & Landscaping. Charles Johnson was upfront about the fact he wouldn't be able to do the work for at least two weeks but would contact us for a day and time. When we hadn't heard from him in the two week time period we contacted him. He graciously agreed to scheduling the removal within several days, showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and had the tree removed, stump ground, and debris cleaned up within a matter of hours. We were very pleased with both the work and the professionalism of Mr. Johnson and would recommend his services, as well as use his company in the future.

Charles is busy because he is so good at what he does and his prices are reasonable. It took me a number of weeks to get him onsite because of this and my situation was not an emergency. Also, he is a trained ISA certified arborist. He was worth the wait. Charles is pleasant, patient and professional. He listened to my needs and wants and followed through while making suggestions on my requests. He had to cut some branches that were going into the neighbors yard using ropes and it went without a hitch. All trees looked great upon completion. I would highly recommend Charles and Picturesque Lawns.

We needed a second opinion from a certified arborist because we believed our concerns were not being accurately addressed and resolved by our current ?expert?.  The two deep root injections during the Jan-June 2013 timeframe had not produced the ?palm green-up? expected in 2-4 weeks as promised.   Our palm trees are still yellowing and browning even more.  I called several places late Thursday; Charles returned my call early Monday and made time to come out to the house at 6:30 that evening. 
As we started looking at the palm trees, Charles quickly identified the problem with our palms.  The soil does not have enough nutrients in the ground.  Not only do the palms need nutrients but our property?s soil lacks the required fertilizer to sustain our palms and lawn.  He recommended a soil sample to identify the right nutrients and fertilizer required.  Charles provided additional advice on when deep root injections are needed, the type of covering for palms, when treatment should be provided, how fertilizer and nutrients should be administered.  I could continue listing what I learned from Charles in that hour but would not have the space to fit it in.  Just would like to say, I will definitely recommend Charles to my friends and consult with him again.
