I signed a contract on 2/20/17 and paid half down ($2333), with the remainder due upon completion. They said they were 8 weeks out due to repairs because of Hurricane Matthew (October 2016), and it would be some time in April before they could get to me. The fence company never called me after April 20, so I called them. They were suppose to call me back and let me know when I was scheduled, they never did. So, I called and asked when was I on the schedule. They said the first week of May. No one ever showed up, nor called. On Monday, May 8, I called Mossy Oak asking when they were coming. They said May 19 was the best they could do. Then I get a call the next day from the General Manager Melissa and she tells me they're coming on Friday. I said May 19? They said no, May 12. I wanted to be here to be sure things went smoothly and if the crew had any questions, I'd be available. I told the company I was tired of getting jerked around, and they could either give me my money back, or install the friggin' fence! The crew showed up at 9:30am on May 17 and worked 13 hours to get the fence up. I had to leave at 6pm and they were still working. I told them about the sprinkler heads and showed them where they were. The crew was really awesome and worked very hard to get my fence done. However, working with the Gen Mgr and Receptionist was quite different. I don't recall ever getting the run around like I did and what should have happened was my fence should have been installed by April 20! It was almost another month before my fence was installed! Not acceptable. In looking at the fence, the gate has bad scratch marks along the top (front and back), the cross bar is damaged, several posts have bad nicks in them, and one of the posts was very close to a sprinkler that was on a pole 3 feet out of the ground. They couldn't have missed it! I'm not sure what happened or when it happened, but I now have a broken pipe in the PVC underground which the installers broke when they were packing the cement or when they watered it in. I told the fence company and they said they weren't responsible for broken pipes or sprinklers. WHAT??? You broke it, you should fix it! The fence company never said anything about this and if they had, I wouldn't have gone with them. Now, I have to have a sprinkler repair company come out and replace the broken pipe which will most likely cost another $200 or $300 before it's fixed. And, the pipe will probably have to be rerouted because it's covered in cement. And, I can't check the rest of the sprinklers because my sprinkler's won't come on because of the broken pipe. Water just floods out from the ground. So, it's been very frustrating--so much so that I felt, for the first time in my life, to give a company a bad grade.
