Stay away from this company. We had them put on our new roof 5 years ago. Since then we have had 3 leaks in the exact same place, which has damaged our ceiling twice. First leak cost $200 to repair second time $500 now the latest estimate is $3000. The do not have any records of their work except for the last repair - but I have all the receipts. Each time its some excuse about the leak and they are incapable of fixing it correctly. In addition they do not seem interested in standing by their work or their customers. Stay away - one of the worst companys Ive ever dealt with find yourself a reputable company that stands by their workmanship - this company does not meet that standard.
Response from Mike Willis Roofing & Construction LLC
"This is an interesting review, riddled with fallacies, just in the first sentence. We did install the roof on this home, the homeowner purchased it after the fact. The roof was installed in November of 2012. That is almost seven years ago... Next, we have a $300.00 minimum, if "we" did a repair for $200.00 (which I'm sure we did not) you got a deal! I will reiterate what my staff very professionally tried to explain to you while you berated them with your belligerent and degrading attitude (which I'm sure you would not have had if we were speaking face to face)... The roof was damaged by a hurricane! If you had your car painted, and a tree branch fell on it, do you bring it back to the painter and demand they fix it and re-paint it for free?? No, that is just ignorant. The ironic thing here is I am a reasonable person and a stand up businessman of 31 years in Brevard County. I would have been happy to have a discussion about your repair prior to you being down right nasty to my staff, one of which was a woman none the less. I don't appreciate anyone who feels powerful talking down to my office girls. I will look forward to seeing you face to face once a court date is determined regarding your defamation and slander against my company. Thank you, MW"

Our roof was 2 years old when Irma hit. We lost shingles during the storm. I was rather shocked as it was a new roof. Many of our neighbors had roofs replaced by other companies and none of them lost any shingles. But ok, it was a hurricane. I called to have them come out to take care of the problem and I was advised that they will come out for a minimum of $300.00. I was aghast!!! The contract says they warranty their workmanship for 7 years. When I told him this he stated that does not include acts of God. (which by the way is nowhere in the contract) Aside from refusing to honor their contract they are gouging their customers by charging a minimum $300.00 fee when they don't even know what needs to be done. I would absolutely NEVER use these people again, and I have notified the attorney general regarding the price gouging.

This job was a nightmare from day 1.  Crew foreman either didn't show or came about 4 hours late (don't remember now) and was totally tired from working 7 days a week in a city about 1-1/4 hrs away 7 days a week.  I took one look at him and told him he needed to start working regular hours because his body couldn't continue to function that way.  He needed normal time at home with his wife and dinners at home--not to be working 7 days a week for approx 1 month before starting a large job like our's turned out to be.  He didn't nor the crew didn't show at all the next day.  Day 3 came and he and his assistant came.  He had continual problems with his assistant.  My husband would notice mistakes that the foreman tried to hide that the assistant had made by covering it up--redoing it himself.  There was a huge dispute because the crew both foreman and assistant couldn't get along with my plumbing contractor about the drop in tub.  The plumbing contractor told me she had picked out 2 drop in tub models.  The foreman didn't like her and sent his assistant.  You would have thought he would have looked at the pictures of her choices before giving verbal approval on our behalf to order.  Yet they insisted when it was delivered and bickered about that it wasn't a drop in tub when she insisted it was.  All extra stress for me to be the go-between. About 4 or 5 weeks into our job he ended up firing that guy and didn't have an assistant the rest of the job.  The foreman's time period spent at our house was never something we could count on--or if he was completely with our job when he did do it.  He did excel at one thing, however, which was putting in tile work.  However he installed the bathroom shower tile without using spacers and over a year later I have begun calling but just stopped this week the main office asking for a tile person to inspect the tile to make sure that the grout is still holding because it was at points in the tile shower wall pencil point thin between pieces of other tile.  I told tMr. Willis that a quick look over by a tile man would be well worth it in the long run to see if the grout was still holding rather than possibly fading out (term?) from daily use and the green board possibly rotting and then all the tile would have to be removed if that happened down the road.  (I know that this would be a nasty legal battle.) Mr Willis said it was probably OK but would send over someone to look at it anyway.  He never has. That is the dispute that I referred to above.  The granite/custom cabinet maker commented when he surveyed the initial part of his job that crown molding would look nice over the cabinets to match the crown that was over the 6' custom cabinet with easy close drawers that were also in both vanities.  So much was going on.  My husband and I were both sick with respiratory infections likely caused by all the dust even though the crew taped off the working area.  Crew attendance was spotty.  The dispute over the granite /custom cabinet sub-contractor was that the very large spot of brilliant blue that I picked out the whole piece of granite specifically for to go on my sink counter was never put in the entire bathroom or areas -- on the custom granite shower seat, capstone in living room walk in area, other bathroom sinks.  He had originally said wait til the end of a particular week.  That Friday afternoon I told him I couldn't wait much longer for the week to be out.  He made a phone call and the story that he told us was that his dad cut the granite in a factory that didn't have much lighting at 3 or 4 AM --the first job of the day and he didn't know where the spot went..  I was in the hospital  when the granite and cabinets were installed and didn't notice that the crown molding was not over the washlet/bidet toilet seat (this is the dispute) nor did I realize that it wasn't specifically spelled out in the contract.  A year later I decided that I wanted the crown molding there and I don't have his phone number nor would Mr. Willis either ask him to call me; work through Mr' Willis's now new to us foreman to get it to me at an extra cost if he didn't want to work with me and I also left 2 messages at the granite company where he gets his granite.  I have no way of reaching him and no one will give me his phone number or what Mrl. Willis should have done in my opinion was to say that this sub-contractor works for him--just get me the piece of crown molding.  I have someone else who agreed to put it up.  There were hard feelings over that beautiful spot missing anywhere in our granite installation.  At this point after being told I couldn't keep the left over slab of granite after I had purchased the whole slab of granite, the missing granite show-stopper sunning natural marking (I was in the hospital when it was installed because I would have immediately looked for it and when my husband called me to tell me that the cabinets were in and the granite was in, that was the first question I asked him --Where was that spot?  Well it wasn't there anywhere), the lack of crown molding over the bathroom cabinets and the refusal to communicate with me ever since I began pursuing this matter about 2 months ago is sickening.  Meanwhile the glass designer had some personal issues going on so her design was not on time for the glass sub-contractor to pick up her finished work and so that we could give Mr. Willis his final payment.  Nothing went smoothly about this entire bathroom job except that the glass and electrical sub-contractors were superb.  And there was another dispute going on between the Willis company and my husband and me.  He had published a picture of our custom bathroom in a local coupon type magazine brochure without seeking our permission first -which I told him to his face that if he had asked me I would have denied permission.  I also told Mr.. Willis to his face  to cease and desist with any future publication of our bathroom and to destroy any progress pictures that had been taken of the bathroom along the way, not to be used in any book of examples of their work to potential customers or a "brag it" type book of completed work, or in any other future trade publications (he did tell me at this time that there would be 1 more that had already been agreed upon with the magazine people and I said something to the effect that they could have cared less whose bathroom was in there as long as their publication space was sold but he still put our's in, much to our dismay.  I handed him a copy of the certified return receipt letter to this effect which I did mail to his office and thereafter nothing appeared.
Mr. Willis' wife has net been very kind to me ever.  She says all she does is payroll--she has nothing to do with the day to day operations of the business.  Two weeks ago I said it was my weekly call requesting Mr. Willis to please send the tile man over to just check over my bath tile and to say that I had not heard from the granite-furniture subcontractor. and also asked her to take a message requesting the name of the electrical sub-contractor that they used.  I said we liked him and had some additional work that we wanted to hire him to do.  That time she let the phone just hang like she wasn't there, never answered.  Last week was  he last week I am calling Mr. Wiilis' office again about the tile or the crown molding issue. I did however call this morning and leave another message on their answering machine requesting the name of the electrical sub-contractor person and stating again the reason I wanted to know.  It is the last time I will ever call there again.  The bad part about the whole job is that it just kept mushrooming into more work for them.  When I was told by someone that I could not keep the left over piece of granite after our agreed upon master bathroom had been agreed upon I said I'll fix this--we'll just f

Wayne did an excellent job with the repairs. He arrived on time and had all of the necessary materials on his truck. Aside from the new shingles, you can't tell there was any previous damage. The time it took from start to finish was very reasonable. Wayne did not waste any time when he showed up. He did a very professional job and I would highly recommend Mike Willis Roofing. Wayne was professional and personable.
The company is going to bill me for the work. I don't believe it will deviate much from the estimate and that's why it is zero dollars at this time.

These people are TERRIBLE! What a NIGHTMARE!! I've never had so much stress in my life. For the price we were paying them, I cannot believe what we had to go through. It was supposed to be a "4 day job" and it ended up taking over 2 weeks! They were late some days and did not even show up others. They even had a guy quit in the middle of the job! I kept having to call them to find out where they were and the status of our job. We needed stucco work and that was a disaster in itself. It's still not done properly and looks terrible!
They would promise that "all their guys would show up tomorrow and finish the job" and then it would always be 1 older guy all by himself. He was the only good thing about this company. He is a sweet old man and he worked really hard to finish but who leaves an older guy all by himself on a ladder in the summer heat painting a 2 story house without help?! Seriously?? The owner was a piece of work too. He wouldn't even offer a discount or apologize and made it seem like it was our fault. He showed up at our house ONCE to see the work and was really rude. The paint job is really sloppy. There are sections not done, old paint color showing, paint on places it shouldn't be and so on. They even broke a few things while working. The only positive out of the whole thing was the day they finished because we didn't have to see them again. We asked for a discount and they gave us a ridiculous one. A nice slap in the face after all we went through.
They are lucky we payed them at all! PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!! They should not be in business!! Save yourself the stress - Trust me!

Mike Willis Roofing and Construction replaced a roof at my rental house in October and did such a wonderful job that I had them replace the roof on my primary residence as well.  Again, I have nothing but the highest commendations for the scheduling, the work, the cleanup -- every part of the process was completed with professionalism and competence.  Everyone that I have dealt with in this company is highly qualified and customer service oriented.  Amanda even helped me schedule a wind mitigation inspection to reduce my insurance costs.
I went into dealing with Mike Willis Roofing knowing nothing about roofing, the process, or what to expect.  Now, two jobs later, I'm happy to report that I don't even feel the need to know much -- they have taken care of everything without me having to become an expert.  BUT, if there's anything that I've wanted to understand, they have been patient and helped me become educated.  I am totally confident in their knowledge and their work, and will continue to sing their praises for jobs well done!

They did an excellent job.  They repaired four roof vents for us.  Their crew was professional and cleaned up after the job.  They even managed to match our roof shingles.  We were very happy with them and would use them in the future for any additional work.

We are very, very pleased with the professionalism, punctuality, efficiency and overall result of the work.  It took "only" 5 days
from start (removing all concrete tiles and hauling off) to completion, from a Monday to Friday.  They protected the garden as much as possible and picked up all debris everyday.  When one of the roofers stepped through the roof and probably broke through the ceiling in a small closet, with insulation falling down, the company quickly acknowledged the issue and sent someone to fix it right away.  That work, done by Jim Zampella, Inc., was superb!  When he finished, we couldn't even tell there was ever a problem there.
Also, all the workers were amiable and hard working.
We went from "anxiety" to pleasantly pleased with the decision to replace our entire roof.

Response from Mike Willis Roofing & Construction LLC
"Thank you for your wonderful review! It was a pleasure doing business with you! Again, we apologize about your ceiling and appreciate your understanding that accidents do happen! Thank you again for taking the time to leave a great review!"
