I was not happy with how things worked out. I paid the $199 for 6 hours of work which was the advertised special. He came to my home and we discussed the scope of work. He took measurement of both rooms, I had paint colors already chosen and gave him a picture of how one of the rooms was to be painted. I showed him the piece of wire shelving that needed to be re-hung in the master bedroom.
 >During this time he did not mention what his rate would be if it took longer than 6 hours. He did said he would probably need to come back the following day to hang trim to allow the paint to dry.
>He did not mention the time he spent getting supplies would be taken from that time. If I'd known that I would have gotten the materials ahead of time. I helped by taping off base boards, windows, etc. In both rooms and painted one room entirely myself.
To cut this short, it took 12.5 hours and an additional $500 to have my shelf hung, put one coat of paint in one room and cut the wood trim for 3 walls. My husband and I had to finish the painting and put up the trim. For the amount that I ending up paying I could have had this job done without me doing so much work.
This was an expensive lesson learned. I feel as a contractor, he should have been able to give me an estimate as to the amount of time it would take to complete my job when he initially came out to measure. Especially since he knew the special was only for 6 hours. That way I could have prioritized differently and scaled down to fit my budget.

Purchased the deal, arranged a date, but upon further discussion the contractor felt he should not or could not do the requested service. They were professional, courteous and responsive.

From start to finish Larry did an excellent job.  The new roof was a complete rebuild to replace the existing leaky flat roof.  Larry obtained the permits, had the trusses built, ordered all the supplies needed and was on site every day with his crew to make sure all details were done properly and within code.  He was always available to answer questions and never left at night when finished without making sure all was complete for the day and ready to go the next.  He also was always available on the phone if any problem came up with leaks while the construction was going on.
He was a pleasure to work with and we would recommend him to anyone who wants to have a professional job completed in a timely manner. He is a very personable individual who would do whatever necessary to satisfy his customers.
We would hire him gladly for any other construction we might need in the future .

When he showed up I was told my job wasn’t covered by the deal.   I read the details of the deal and it was covered but it seems like he was looking for a significant remodeling job.  It seemed like he should have done a better job of clearly stating what he does. He did end up giving me a recommendation for someone to do the work though.
Response from

"I did not say the job was not covered by the deal. I was shown skip trowel ceiling replacement and repair. I stated that I could not match the existing finish and suggested a drywall contractor, so he could get a proffesional job, he agreed. I was show electrical work, I'n not a electrician, he said he could do it. The other small misc. things would not of added up the the time required. I'm sorry he did not appreciate my honesty and regard for him getting the best job. If I would of done a poor job, I could of gotten a worst review."

In my quest to find an experienced contractor I was recommended to Larry Wright Construction Inc.  I had just purchased this house in Palm Bay, built in 1983, and I wanted to have it transformed into a desirable living space in time for my relocation from Washington D.C. in August of that year, as I plan to retire to Florida.  The first thing that impressed me about Larry was his calm and pleasant demeanor.  I explained that I had a long wish list of modifications to the house, as I wanted it transformed into a private art gallery; my passion was collecting art.  This meant removing walls and incorporating what was then a 10 x 40 ft. screened in porch into the main living area.  I would also need to have a clear vision from the entrance to the pool, incorporating the outdoors by installing sliding glass doors on all of the outer walls.  I needed to have the ceiling height increased to the maximum and to have skylights installed to bring more natural light into the space, I also needed to have track lighting distributed throughout, together with ceiling fans. I explained that if we were to work together, trust would have to be an essential part of our interaction as we would be working at a distance by fax, telephone and emails.  I would be returning to my home in Washington D.C. and would return to Florida only when he told me my presence was needed.  He assured me he was comfortable with that.  He then worked out an estimate for the job and provided me with a payment schedule.  I could not have had a more pleasant experience.  He incorporated all the items on my wish list, making agreed upon changes as needed. The project was delivered on time and on budget, and I am as happy with my home today as I was the day I took delivery of it in August of 2001.
Larry Wright is a gifted, talented and experienced builder; his attention to detail and his aesthetic is extraordinary.  After thirteen years I have just contacted him again, as I now wish to add a fourth bedroom suite to my home, but one that is handicap accessible, and I would trust no one but Larry Wright Construction to do this work.

I would unhesitating recommend Larry Wright Construction to anyone needing an honest and first rate builder.

No permits were needed and everything went a lot smoother. The wood ramp needed permits and was going to take several days to instal. However there was more work that needed to be done at my parents new home and my home. But I guess he has more then enough work because he did not want anything to do with us. I am not sure why, but I am glad we did not move forward with him. If he could not understand what happened that is unfortunate. If he was this unprofessional then I can only imagine what he might be like to work with if things go wrong while he is doing work.

We purchased a house at foreclosure auction.  The property does not have a garage.  We wished to build a 2 car 24X28 foot garage, extent the roof on the house to make a covered patio and tie this to the garage via a breezeway.  We contacted six contractors, of which Larry was one.  He spoke with me, and gave me information about the project, proper insurance to obtain for the construction phase, and even an agent where we could purchase that insurance (his agent covered us for less than any other agency).
We met and reviewed that proposed plan.
Larry provided his bid in a timely manner and happily discussed issues and questions.
He worked with to try to bring the bid into range so that we would be able to utilize his services, however it just wasn't possible

Larry is a very good contractor and did a good job managing the roofing work done by advanced roofing. Larry was on the job every day and did most of the carpentry work for the hurricane hardening of the house such as inspecting, re-nailing and repairing hurricane straps, repairing roof decking, flashing, chimney cap and bracing the gable end walls and structure. He handled all of the money and did what he promised.
