Intercoastal is not able to maintain the installed system. There are unresolved problems even though the pool was started nine months ago. Owners purchased top-of-the-line Pentair Intelliconnect pool control system. In early November, 2019, shortly after the system was installed, owner noticed a problem with the system and reported it to Intercoastal. A technician was assigned and came to the pool site several times but was not able to accomplish a repair. On 2/11/2020 Intercoastal turned the problem over to the owner to work with the manufacturer to try to get the problem resolved. On 2/13/2020 the owner communicated with the Pentair Service Manager who, on the same day, was able to remotely implement an action that caused the system to work properly. He informed the owner, however, that the system is wired incorrectly.

It went ok until the end when there was issues they needed to resolve and still to this day 5 months later we haven’t heard anything from them now that they have the full payment. They also never had the final inspection done and are still waiting on that as well months and months after it was completed

Design & durability have been fine; there have been issues with the LED lights but Intercoastal addressed those quickly and effectively. The main issue I have is with their maintenance service. They miss appointments to do the cleaning and they have a poor customer service approach for dealing with complaints. They replaced the Tech and dispatched a Tech to service the pool, but never acknowledged the issue or contacted me about the compliant. Recently, the service has become spotty again. I am looking to replace them as a result.

A year later and it's not working. Worst part is they refuse to return any of my phone calls or emails. You think a business would at least have the common courtesy of getting back in touch with you. Very VERY unprofessional as far as customer service goes.

I thought it went fine until I came to the house and flushed the toilets. All the toilets started backing up. I called Intercostal and asked them if they did anything and they denied it. I called a plumber who spent hours trying to find the problem. I continued to call Intercostal while the plumber searched but they said it was not them and denied all responsiblility. The plumber went in the backyard and said there was 25 feet of sewage pipes stacked up that had come out of the ground. The plumber began to dig in the backyard and found that the sewage pipe had been cut in two places and the 25 feet of connecting pipe had been removed. Intercoastal never bothered to hook it back up again or even call meI The sewage pipe was 2 inches from the pool pipe so there is no way this was an accident. Intercoastal then covered the whole thing back up with dirt without a word to me. The plumber said to redo and reconnect would be $6,000 which they could complete the following day. I called Intercostal for the fifth time that day and they finally came out. My plumbing bill was $1,900 for the first day. We had to overnight in a hotel. The next day Intercostal sent their plumber out to redo and reconnect the sewage. I asked for reimbursement on my plumbing bill of $1,900 and hotel costs $120.00 and though they said they would work with me, ultimately they said I should be grateful that they fixed the problem and they are not responsible for the plumbing or hotel bill. I understand they do not know what is in the ground before they dig but the fact that they damaged my sewer, took out 25 feet of pipe and would not even acknowledge it makes them a very dishonest company. They badly broke something and didn't even let me know. I think this is completely unethical as since the broke it they should have fixed it and reimbursed me for the costs. I highly recommend going to another pool company as this one is not trustworthy!
