Excellent knowledgeable courteous neat ultra professional electrical services! Have used their services on 3 projects and they are consistently top notch. Was very impressed and thankful on our 1st multiple ceiling fan installation project when they spotted a Non UL Approved Fan (unsafe) we purchased online from Lowe's. We went to our local Home Depot and purchased replacements while they waited and subsequently installed all 3. I highly recommend Grand Electric!

Because of a problem with the plumbers, water heater had to be reconnected until I could find a competent plumber. The Grand Technician came back on a Friday afternoon after work hours on his own time to reconnect the water heater so that I would not be without hot water over the weekend. I can’t say enough about him and wouldn’t have anyone else handle my electrical projects/problems.

I had been given a window of 8:30 to 10:30, and Danny arrived at 9:00 which was terrific. He was very polite and extremely efficient & professional. Everything was repaired quickly, including the bathroom exhaust fan which is way up about 12 feet and which needed a new motor. I have used this company for over a decade, and I have never had any problems with them. They appear to employ very competent people, and I'm comfortable when they are in my home. I recommend them very highly.

I have used Grand Electric/Bob's Electric many times in the past and they never fail to impress. Their electricians are always polite, thorough, and fast. The quality of their work is excellent. I would recommend them without reservations and plan to use them for my future electrician needs.

I got to Grand through Home Depot- (purchased the fans from HD.com).
I will definitely use them again directly.
They responded to the HD request quickly. Lovely, easy to deal with. Set up appointment. Kept me apprised of changes.
Electrician showed up on time, did his thing and was very polite and clean!

This provider was professional from the very beginning to the very end. They came by and gave me an estimate on several electrical projects that I had gathered over time. They were kind enough to give me an overall estimate and then broke the jobs out into separate pricing so I could do one at a time if needed.
The day after the estimate was given, they called me back and followed to see if anything else was needed and I went ahead scheduled one of the jobs. They were able to get me scheduled for 2 days later on a Friday. They gave me a window of 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. They ended up arriving around 1:15 on the day the work was to be performed.
Overall, the job took about an hour and a half. They promptly got the new line ran, installed the switches, and installed the fan. They were clean and did not leave a mess behind. After the job was complete, he marked off the first job on the original estimate as paid, collected my check, and left.
I would highly recommend this provider to anyone looking for electrical work. I will be calling them back to finish the other 3 jobs.

Both times they called to ask I they could come over earlier than scheduled. Receptionist and electricians are very courteous and friendly. They charge very fair prices. Highly recommended!

Brian and Joe were terrific! Brian was able to "fish" the wiring for our ceiling fan above the dry wall on our concrete ceiling. Nobody else in our complex ever had a contractor who figured out how to do it. Most of the other units (36) total have an ugly piece of metal on the ceiling with the wire inside. He was also able to move our chandelier 2 feet without using an ugly "swag" chain.
Both men were very professional and mannerly. Their work was very resonable for the cost. We'll use them again if we ever need more work. Several others in our complex have already hired them as well.

The tech was very professional and friendly on the phone.

Telephone service was very courteous and returned my call promptly. Their personnel arrived within the 1 hour window they promised. They charged by the hour but were quite efficient in their work. The fans work beautifully and I am very satisfied.

I'm not certain grounding all the outlets was necessary, and certainly not on my to do list. Originally, I called this company to get an estimate on adding two light switches in my home and hang a chandelier in the dining room. They said it was a major job for both...adding the light switches and hanging the chandelier. It would include breaking into the walls, leaving big holes in the wall. Also, they said there wasn't enough attic space to go into the attic for the chandelier to be hung. That conversation ended on that note.
Because my home was built in the late 50's, I think I asked them a question on the importance of the outlets being grounded. They said they would check them...then told me... YES, it was not safe, and they should be grounded. I'll admit I got a little scared at the thought of perhaps an electrical fire, therefore I agreed for them to ground all the outlets.
Afterwards, when talking to my adult children and friends, they all said the same thing...other than the bathroom and kitchen (which were already grounded) it was an unnecessary waste of money...and, I was extremely overcharged. (My home is 1388 square feet...would you say $533.00 was a fair price to pay?)
Would I call this company again...NO!

"In older homes you may find only a two wire system. These Old-fashioned two-prong receptacles connected to two-wire cables don't have the ground wires that protect people and electrical devices in case of a fault. If there is only two wires, it is against code to install a 3-prong receptacle. However, NEC code recommends replacing a two-prong receptacle with a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI). This system works because the GFCI monitors the difference in current between the black and the white wires and does not depend on a ground wire to protect the circuit. We installed 17 GFI receptacles through out home since it was only a two system. According to national cost the average charge for GFI installation is 33.00 to 40.00 per device. Our charge averaged $31 for labor and material per device."

My call to Grand Electric was returned promptly, an appointment was made that was convenient for me. On arrival they were professional and SO nice! The problem was located and corrected, and they provided a thorough walk around of my recently stuccoed house to make sure there were no outstanding problems. I asked for a list of lighting that needed to be purchased and I have purchased everything needed to update my outside lighting. I have scheduled them to come back to professionally install everything. These guys were so helpful and the price was reasonable for the service call. Thank you Grand Electric!
