PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU TRY CONTACTING THIS COMPANY: I was contacted by Dawn from Family Lawn after I put in a request to have someone come out and assess my yard and give an estimate. She immediately sent me a ridiculously high quote without even seeing my property. I then sent her this email on Dec 29th, 2017: Good morning, The $180 is definitely way more than what we’re paying today. I was hoping someone could personally come out to my property to visually assess and take into account the small lawn care needed. If you simply charge a flat rate and personal assessment is not part of your estimate then thank you for your time. - J Dawn from Family Lawn Replied: J, Your going to have to pay more to get the kind of service your expecting. Or you can shop around and find plenty of lowball offers like you've had in the past , however, you also can expect the same crappy service. we would love to come out and meet you but our pricing is not likely to change. Good service or crappy service, your call ? Dawn Packard Then I replied - out of sheer shock at how unprofessional and arrogant she had written: Dawn, Clearly you lack the professionalism or friendly demeanor I’m looking for in a lawn service. The only lowballing I see is your choice of wording and common courtesy. I wouldn’t pay your price with that attitude and arrogance you possess. -Not interested AND this is the response I received back from Family Lawn just moments ago: That's totally fine with me. Your just a cheap tire kicker who's been spoiled by the number of lawn care co's. Lowballing ? you should take the time to actually look up what that means, you know, try to become smarter person so that we could have at least a somewhat intelligent conversation. Oh well why don't you give Jim Bobs lawn a call or the kid next door, but then again they both went out of business because of cheap a$$ people like you ! Good day sir . Family Lawn & Landscape (FL&L) was hired to fix my lawn irrigation system that had low pressure in the #3 zone. FL&L was unsuccessful in trouble shooting my #3 zone for the cause of the problem. FL&L then said I needed to change my water pump and wanted to sell me a pump for $580. I supplied my own new pump from Home Depot for $300. FL&L agreed to install my pump for a total cost of $410 payable in advance to get my irrigation system fully functional. FL&L installed my pump and burned it out after a few minutes of pump operation due to their incorrect wiring of the pump. The FL&L person on-site who wired the pump said he found the cause of the malfunction, “loose wires” (that he wired) at the connection terminal of the pump to 220V power supplied from my house. I removed and replaced the burnt out pump with a new one. FL&L then returned to my home. The new pump was fully operational but, the original problem still existed for low water pressure. FL&L blamed a low water table that my artesian well could not pump enough water from. FL&L walked off the job and said they would return when the area water table became higher. If I waited for the water table to rise, I would have lost my lawn due to no irrigation. I called another lawn irrigation company and within minutes after being on-site at my home, they found I had an air leak on the pipe coming from the well to the pump causing my low pressure. They fixed the problem within a few hours for a total cost of $200 parts and labor. FL&L did NOTHING to fix my low water pressure problem after falsely blaming a low water table and walked off the job. I incurred the expense of buying a new $300 water pump, that FL&L said I needed. I incurred two payments for a total $410 ($110 + $300) for FL&L labor that they required payment in advance, that did nothing to fix the problem. I disputed the billing to Family Lawn & Landscape for $300 on my credit card. Their is still the matter of $110 paid to FL&L and $300 for a new pump that I did not need. Contrary to what the FL&L web-site states; FL&L charged me $75 for an irrigation repair estimate. Contrary to stating free estimates. FL&L did not make any offer of customer satisfaction, Contrary to stating 100% customer satisfaction guarantee, FL&L states it has a Better Business Bureau (BBB) rating of “A+”. I find that unbelievable. I filed a compliant with the BBB. Family Lawn & Landscape (FL&L) is a business that is a nightmare to deal with.

Were very responsive and called me back immediately when I called to price lawn service - came out same day for estimate. Started within the week and have been very conscientious about follow up to see if I am satisfied. They come when they are supposed to come and do an excellent job, especially since former service by someone's teen and relative was terrible so much needed to be improved upon.
