The crew at Doanhue's removed, stripped, hand sanded (because of the carving and inlaid work) stained, applied 5 coats of marine varnish, hand resanded and rehung our double front doors onsite. Work on the doors was done beneath a protective tent and the doors rehung every evening to ensure they could be locked. The job was done a few days earlier than the maximum time quoted. Staff is knowledgable, punctual, professional, cordial and polite. They left no footprint at the end of each work day. One would never know anyone was working on the premises! Refinished kitchen cabinets were done offsite at the shop and reinstalled. They are a perfect match to the rest of the cabinets. The antique tea cart had a broken wooden wheel and steel ball bearings in the leg which were replaced. The glass of the butler tray was replaced and the piece touched up. The price for the work was reasonable and fair and the work was top shelf. All work is guaranteed for a year and all the work looks as good as the day it was done. Without reservation I recommend Donahue's for all your refinishing. People who come to the house never fail to compliment the doors and how magnificent they look. And I totally agree.
