After taking the working parts with him back to the shop, he and his wife returned them on time and we are very pleased with the results. We gave him a very old antique clock, that hasn't worked in many years, and hopefully he can get it running. I highly recommend Clock Maker.

My first meeting with Peter (the Clockmaker) was in January 2016 - when I brought in a Seth Thomas wall clock that stopped ticking.  Having recently moved in the area, we should have "packed" the clock more securely, so there was a tangle that needed straightening out.  Peter did this, without charge and sent me on my way.  I decided to give Peter some more business, so I brought in a 25 year old cuckoo clock for a tune up (had been sitting in the attic), which he tuned up and made minor repairs on two outside parts (decorative).  As it turned out the Seth Thomas decided to stop working after I made an adjustment to it, so when I picked up the repaired cuckoo, I brought the wall clock in.  Peter kept the clock for a week, called and said he couldn't find anything wrong - it was ticking just fine.  He then asked what was holding the clock on the wall.  It was a hook - which caused the clock to not lie flat against the wall, thereby stopping it from ticking.  He suggested a drywall screw, which we installed and the clock runs perfectly too!  Peter wouldn't take any money for the return visit of the Seth Thomas.  Peter is a personable, hard working, honest man who knows clocks - inside and out.  His prices are more than fair.  Since clock repair shops are hard to find, this one is worth the trip and is a keeper!

A 40 year old ship's clock with great sentimental value was dropped and broken in my home.  On 12/7/15, largely on the basis of Angies List reviews, I took it to the Clockmaker shop on the east side of Wickham Road just a bit north of NASA Boulevard and was pleased to find it clean and orderly.  Mr. Nguyen examined the clock and demonstrated that it was badly in need of cleaning as well as repair.  He quoted a price for the job and offered me the option of getting the broken glass face piece cut myself, which might save a little, or having him get it done, which I chose to do.  He warned that his workload might not permit him to complete it before the holiday and suggested it might take until the week between Christmas and New Years which was agreeable to me.  I was happily surprised when he phoned me 12/16 to indicate that the job was done.  When I picked it up, the bill reflected what we had agreed upon, and the clock had been cleaned and restored to perfect working order (better than before it was broken).  I will note that when I presented a major credit card, I was advised that a surcharge is levied for that form of payment.  He specified the amount, and offered to take a personal check instead.  There may have been a sign indicating this policy in the store; I did not notice and had not asked about payment methods at my initial visit.  Since I had not raised this matter previously, I was willing to accept the rather healthy surcharge for my personal convenience but others might want to know this in advance. We are very pleased with his work and satisfied with the transaction.  We would not hesitate to use him again and would recommend him to others.

Peter, a very pleasant and knowledgeable person(owner) arrived at agreed time. He examined the clock, told us what needed to be done, advised us of the  cost to get the clock running properly again, and the approximate time the repairs would be complete.We agreed and he took the clock mechanism back to his shop.
.Within the agreed time frame, Peter returned clock mechanism and installed in the clock case.Being extremely knowledgeable,Peter explained several things about our clock we didn't know with regard to historyof the clock and its clock maker,as well as several operating tips for keeping the clock running smoothly.
He presented a bill which was exactly the price he quoted.
Overall, a very pleasant experience!

I had an old 31 day Verichron wall clock, perhaps 40 years old that I inherited from my parents.  It stopped working and we wanted it fixed.  I decided to try this fellow after making a few calls and he impressed me greatly once I met him.  He said it would take about two weeks since he was pretty busy.  He told me up front it would be $100.  I'd already determined that several other places would charge more.  He called two weeks later and it was fixed and running well.  He said it needed new bushings and a few other small things, but said it should last for another 40-50 years now.  Wow, I was impressed.  Very delightful person.  His shop is impressive and if I needed a clock from some place I'd go to him.  I'm also planning on giving him an heirloom Elgin Pocket Watch to repair which may be more of a challenge.  It is about 100-110 years old.  I'll report on that after the work is done.  He has others somewhat like it in his shop, so I think it will be no problem for him.

Individual came into home on time and was professional and pleasant. He took click parts and brought them back the next week. I called upon him again to repair two other clocks. Those smaller clocks were $190 each. It seems pricey but the repair is a dying art and hard to find good people.
