A young, not very experienced "technician" performed a $9 annual A/C tune-up (Home Depot Christmas special). Since it was cold in January, the refrigerant "fail" could have been caused by a malfunctioning part and NOT a LEAK. I was quoted a RIDICULOUSLY HIGH $1,200 for a Dye Leak search (plus $380 for a refrigerant recharge and balance). [To exacerbate what I believe is dishonest business practices, they quoted me $626 for a Surge Protector (Condenser Only) and $1,170 for the Condenser and Air Handler!! The problem is I have a WHOLE HOUSE surge protector that I paid about $100 and had a handyman install in less than 15 minutes!! The surge protector is visible when looking at my outside electric meter...hooked up on the bottom of the electric panel.] When Florida Breeze came out in Feb., they indicated because it was too cold, any testing on my Variable Speed Heat Pump unit could be tricked/influenced by the weather and provide a misdiagnosis. When Florida Breeze tested on April 2nd, they determined there was a defective part that was preventing the refrigerant from flowing through the unit. They ordered the part. (They also said it would be less than $500 for a dye leak search and refrigerant.)

I contracted Climate Experts to install two new units on my vacation home in Melbourne, FL. They were quick to install and I was quick to pay. Unfortunately one unit is not capable of handling the work load put on it. I originally wanted a split duct unit and allowed them to talk me out of it. Therefore I went solely on their recommendation with the temperature requirements I requested. They said no problem. Units now installed and the smaller unit as I said is not enough for the area it covers. I have offered to pay the difference in cost to upgrade it and they have chosen to ignore me. Sometime this week I will have no choice but to hire an attorney to fight on my behalf. Also units are only a few months old and they have already been out a few times to get them working.

I called Climate Experts to service my Trane HVAC unit that stopped working a month after I closed on my house. My unit was installed in 2015 and was less than 5 years old. The rep did not say anything about warranty. Instead, I was provided an invoice the next day for $1,975 for parts and labor in addition to the $59 discounted fee for the service call or $2,034 total. A friend called another HVAC service guy who said my unit probably had a 5 year base warranty. The owner of Climate Experts sounds like a nice guy, yet I still struggle to understand what happened. He claimed that a Trane rep misinformed his rep that my unit was not covered because I was not the original owner. Since I was within the 90 day window of closing on my home, I paid Trane $99 to transfer the warranty to my name which extended the warranty an additional 5 years or 10 years, overall. Good news! I want to trust that that the Climate Experts owner told me the truth. Either way, when I contacted Quality Air of Brevard, the installer of my Trane unit, I was able to get the work done for a total of $760 which is less than half the cost that Climate Experts quoted me. Mistakes happen.

They are great we rent the house air was gone they came in Saturday to check into problem unit was very old on it's last leg they sent a price which was very reasonable by the end of day Monday had new system in sent us photos of project they were very professional would call them again if needed they are great.

I called these guys and with in an hour and a half they were on site. Promptly diagnosed and provided detailed proposal. Once I approved they installed the unit 2 days later. Communicated very well and sensitive to tenants.

I am very surprised with the quality of service we received by Climate Experts. We have used several other AC companies in the past that were just ok, but Climate Experts service is on another level. The technician Roman was clean and professional and explained everything to us in detail and took extra time to teach us how to properly maintain our system. I felt like they cared more about me as a customer rather then trying to make a quick buck. We signed up for there yearly maintenance plan and I recommended them to all my friends and family. My go to AC Company now!

They basically commented that I needed this and this, and this. I spoke to a guy who was in that really is in that business and in our own neighborhood. He said they all tell you whatever part that could go bad in the next couple of years. I wouldn't recommend them and that's why The guy was nice and everything. I was totally shocked, I just started living there a year old. The house is really not old, but I don't know how many years it's been occupied. I said maybe this needs to be changed, so I talked to a man that is an expert in our neighborhood.He said they all tell you that. He said you could have it changed, but there's nothing wrong with it. The cost was not more than $29. The guy I just think he was trying to make money and plus the $29. They didn't do anything; it wasn't very expensive. They use that to get in your door. The punctuality was fine, but I think they were a little late maybe, it was fine.

Turns out that system was low on Freon. Technician (owner) added freon and went on to troubleshoot a possible bad thermal expansion valve. Valve probably clogged, but eventually started working correctly and system started cooling properly.

We selected Climate Experts because they were open until 11pm and they are a local, veteran owned business. We were scheduled to attend a wedding the next day and they came over promptly between 8-9pm, diagnosed the situation, made the system safe until our returned the following week, and installed the system in less than 1 day. They were attentive, friendly, and extremely helpful in educating us in our new system. They offered a discount to Angie's List patrons that was extremely awesome. It went great! The duo showed up right on time, on a weekend, to save us from the mid-summer heat. They got right to work diagnosing our A/C issues. Thankfully it was a simple fix and not anything serious. They cleaned the compacted condensation line, replaced our thermostat and replaced the part that kept tripping. Then they showed us how to keep the line clean and clear with bleach or vinegar once a month. They are very friendly and polite, we recommend they to everyone we know!

They came out on the weekend to save us from that mid-summer heat. The duo was polite and got right to business trying find the issue. They quickly found the problem, a trip activated when the condensation line is backing up, and took care of it. They even cleaned out our compacted condensation line and replaced the thermostat.
