I had this pool company for approximately 10 years up until the last month of service (June, 2008), I was happy with the service. In May, 2008, I was told that beginning in June my rate would increase from $90/Month to $100/month. A friend referred me to a local pool company that was doing quality work for $85/Month. I called new pool company for an estimate and was told $85/month. I told CPR around the middle of June that this would be the last month as I had found a company that would charge me $15 less per month. Joe usually cleaned my pool on Thursdays. On June 26, Joe serviced my pool and according to the sheet he left, he did everything. When he serviced my pool on June 26, there was a little yellow algae which I get from time to time. It was of no concern, usually he treats it and it goes away. He shocked my pool on the 26th and told me not to swim that day. In the past, he always told me if my pool did not clear up in a couple of days to call him. On Sunday, June 29, the pool water was green. I called and left a message for him that evening. He did not return my call the next day. On the evening of Monday, June 30, I called his business phone and cell phone and left messages. He called me back later that evening. He basically said that the 26th was the last service day - that the fact that the pool water was green was not his problem and if I wanted him to come back out - $55 service call - I said no thanks! My position is that I had paid him monthly for the last 10 or so years and that the monthly fee covers the whole month. He was always willing to come out in the past if I need service in between cleaning days (at no additional charge). It took my new pool company almost 3 weeks to get my pool back to normal - clear and beautiful. I had to pay them a $50 surcharge for extra chemicals and the extra service they had to perform. I feel that Joe owes me the $50 as he did not fulfill his duties to service my pool for the complete month of June. I will never recommend him to anyone.
