We are a small engine sales and service company. We repair and sell parts for lawn mowers, trimmers, chain saws, hedge trimmers, blowers, pressure washers, generators, air compressors as well as a warranty station for Ridgid and Ryobi hand power tools. I have a John Deere riding lawnmower that was putting out a lot of smoke and stalling when I mowed the lawn. I called another company that advertised that they would come to the house and repair the mower. That company came out and charged me $178.00 . Three months later I was having the same problem. This was in the winter and I wasn't mowing my lawn very often so it seemed obvious that it was the same problem that I had already been charged for so I called the company I had already used. They came out again and said they couldn't find anything wrong and CHARGED ME AGAIN ($49.00 this time), because the guy said he wasn't sure whether it was something that I did that was causing the mower to smoke.
The next time I mowed, sure enough it started smoking again. That is when I called Atlantic Mowers. They came to my house and picked up the mower and took it to their shop to repair it. They found a bad fuel pump and replaced it, and returned my mower to my house. AND, even with the pickup and delivery, they charged me less than the first company had charged me on just one call.
Every time I start my 10+ year old mower now, it starts like a champ. And every time that happens, I remember that I NEED to come in here and write a review on Angie's List so everyone else knows what great service I got from Atlantic Mowers. I recommend them to all of my friends now and will call them again in the future if I need more work done.
