Mr Alfrey and Jeremy were professional and courteous. Both were prompt - from answering the phone to return call, to coming for the quote and returning the next day to work the repairs on both roofs. The work was professionally done and we are all happy!

Satisfied overall with work performed but a few things happened that prevented an A rating. First was having to reshedule my start date (agreed to more than 6 months prior to start) because company squeezed in a couple additional small jobs prior to mine to satisfy last minute customers. Installation went well and clean up was outstanding. After job was finished I had to call and have some sections of gutter reattached in a couple places (we're not reinstalled properly). Response was fairly quick. After job was finished I had to contact the company 3 or 4 times to get wind mitigation paperwork necessary for insurance credit.

We called them for an estimate and they showed up the next day, measured the roof and provided us with detailed written estimate. We entered into the contract, they filed all the necessary paperwork for permitting and put us on the schedule. When the scheduled day arrived they came with a large, well trained crew of workers, with everybody doing their specific job with precision. They covered the patio and lawn with tarps during the messy tear off process and even scanned the lawn with a magnetic roller to pick up any stray nails. They completed the dryin in one day, got the inspection, installed the shingles and got the final inspection. The contract had an open end provision for rotten wood replacement as it is impossible to determine the cost of hidden damage---they were totally honest---just charging for materials and labor---a rarity in this day and age The Alfreys have been roofing in Brevard since the 70s and as many long time residents may remember the family had gone through some tough times in the 80s and yet they have continued to survive and thrive

Wonderfully. The problem was found by another contractor and they supported him by quickly doing the roof repair. I initial wrote this review the day they finished, but have waited until mid-August to submit it so that we have been home during the pouring afternoon rains and observed that the repair is good.

Brian Alfrey was very busy at the time we hired him. He and his crew were working hard to meet deadlines while trying to take on new jobs. Our job was not an emergency, so we waited until Brian could fit us in. Each day the crew was on time, worked extremely hard, were professional, polite, and notified me when they were concerned about something they came across on the roof (example: chimney not secure, rotten roof panels, etc.) as they were removed the old roofing. Brian stopped by several times to see how the crew was doing and to make sure I didn't have any concerns. At times, Brian came across a little rough - but I think it was because he was trying to accommodate so many customers and his time was limited. In addition, he means well but didn't always remember the little things he promised to complete during our various conversations; this caused some uncomfortable conversations. In the end, Brian did complete the small/additional items and even did not charge us for a few of them.

We only had a few disappointments: Tar got splattered on one of our patio sets (which we should have moved farther away from the house), but we have been able to remove most of the tar. Every so often we still find roof nails in the garden and we can't get a bag down that blew into a tree (it was very windy when they did our roof).

Our biggest disappointment came at the end of the project. It was on the Friday when the roof was supposed to be completed. Brian stopped by in the morning. He asked how we were going to pay for the job. I said with a credit card. He was a little disappointed because he thought I would be paying with a check or with cash. I told him I didn't realize there would be a problem because his contract stated payments could be made with a credit card, but I could pay with a check if he needed me to. Brian said it wasn't a problem and a credit card would be fine. I asked him if he wanted the credit card information then because he wasn't going to be able to come back later that day to pick it up. He said that would be fine or he could pick it up on Saturday morning when he was going to have his crew come back to do the small jobs (screens on pipes to keep squirrels out) and make sure everything was fine with the roof. I gave Brian the credit card information on Friday because I felt comfortable and confident he and his crew would show up on Saturday morning. Brian said I would be the first job his crew would go to on Saturday and we should expect them around 8:00-8:30 am. - Saturday morning no one showed or called. I called Brian around 9:30 am - (I think he said he was at his kid's baseball game) He said he decided to send his crew to another job and would be at our house when they were done - probably sometime in the afternoon. I was annoyed and said we got up early because we were expecting him early that the morning. He got irritated and said he probably should have called. I said, and quot;Yesand quot; and he said, and quot;well MA'AM, this is on me and I've already said I should have calledand quot;. This bothered us because, up until then, his crew was always on time and Brian repeatedly stopped by while the work was being done. Unfortunately, we wondered if the Saturday situation would have occurred if we hadn't paid him before the work was completed.

We would recommend Alfrey Roofing because they did do an excellent job on the roof, and Brian and his crew care about their customers.

Not great. I was initially happy with the service and professionalism until I tried to get them back out to finish touch ups. I had some stains on the walls from where one worker placed his dirty hand. He sprayed killz on the dirt spot he created. I suppose in an attempt to hide it. This made it a worse, a larger more noticeable area. They sprayed killz in the garage and the same thing happened. Mr. Alfrey refused to return my calls and address the issues. A month later..His final reply was and quot;we are not paintersand quot;. Yet they caused the damage. NOW my skylight has been leaking without my knowledge for a couple years. I have attic damage. I only know now because mold is forming around it on my living room ceiling. Of course the warranty was only for one year.

Excellent. W had a leak in our garage that couldn't be repaired by the company that
reroofed our house after the hurricane because they were no where to be
found. (Reroof America) Brian came out and gave us an estimate that
was in line with the others that I had already received except Brian
didn't try to upsell me with added products or redoing existing work.
He also encouraged me to get other estimates. When the crew came out
they were professional, timely and left everything in a clean orderly
manner. I waited to write the review because I wanted to make sure the
leaks were gone and they are!

Brian and his crew were true professionals. They showed up on time did their work and left the grounds spotless. Brian walked me through each step of the job before his crew started and then made sure all of my expectations were met after completion.

The work was done on a house that is not my primary residence - Brian was great about keeping me informed about the progress of the project, and I was very pleased when I saw his completed work.

Alfrey Roofing did a great job. They showed up on time to do the estimate, showed up on time to do the job, and finished on time. They left my property spotless. I really price shopped this roof replacement and Alfrey had the best price. Brian Alfrey, the owner, is a very helpful and professional person. He explained my options to me regarding the roofing materials and educated me on the process. He even threw in a wind mitigation inspection and gave me the typed report and a CD with the pictures my insurance company needed. The inspection was done by his brother, and did not include only the roof, but also my hurricane shutters, etc. Brian also recommended a gutter company to me, and they also did a great job. I would recommend Alfrey Roofing to anyone looking to replace their roof.
