The painters showed up early on the start date and worked steadily from the beginning prep work to the final coat. They paid close attention to detail and took care to clean up at the end of each work day. Matt came by periodically to check on progress.
His men were very professional and highly skilled and we were extremely pleased with the outcome. We will be having them back in the near future for some interior projects. Despite the extensive amount of work that needed to be done on preparing to paint the exterior they finished earlier than we expected.
We highly recommend Matt Melanson and his hardworking and friendly crew.

Melanson painting as always was prompt about coming to give the estimate for the work and scheduling the work to be done. I was in a hurry because we were planning an appraisal and he got the work done quickly and was cleaned up and out of there before the appraisal. The vaulted ceilings were no problem for him and it's been awhile since he job was done and you still cannot tell where the water damage was. I am very pleased with his work.

This project has been one of many successful tasks I've scheduled Matt to work. I've grown to rely on Matt, he applies his experience providing awesome results for his customer. The most recent task was a barrier island home exterior with wood soffits. The outside of the home  required repainting after many years of exposure to salt life living. The prep work was extensive to ensure the new paint application would adhere and hopefully last longer than the previous exterior painting job. The work was completed in a timely manner. The job site was always safe and picked up. I do recommend Melanson Painting ~

Everything went well once I picked out a color I liked
I had bids from 3 other paint contractors, all were reasonably close
Matt was available to start immediately , which was important and got everything completed in 2 and a half days.
Looks great, job was completed thouroughly, on time as estimated and cost was just estimated, without any surprises.
I just paid extra for an additional door I had him paint.
So overall I am extremely pleased. The work is professional without doubt and he showed up on time we scheduled.

My husband met with Matt on the bidding scheduling etc. I worked with him on selecting colors, he was very helpful about acquiring samples and putting up the colors I was considering for me to see before making the final decision. In the end the colors we chose made our house look just perfect. He started the job on time and first power washed down the whole house, after that he scraped down peeling paint and repaired the walls and trim where needed. There were a lot of places on the stucco walls that had to be repaired due to a bad previous paint job that was causing many layers of old paint to peel off. Also, I have a garden wall that has creeping ficus growing on it and he was ever so careful about removing the plant without damaging it too much. Once the walls were all prepared the painting began and he was very careful about draping our plants so that they would not get covered with paint. During the painting of the trim Matt knocked on my door and asked me if I would happen to have a small artists paint brush he could borrow because there was a place on my trim he could not get to with even his smallest brush. I was more than happy to loan him that brush and it proved to me what a detail oriented painter he was! After the painting was all done he cleaned up all around the house to make sure there was nothing left behind and also helped me to replant that creeping ficus around my garden wall. Overall I can say without hesitation Matt is the best painter around! I have also used Melanson Painting on three other occasions: Interior painting of living room in 2012 (see my other review), staining and varnishing of new doors throughout the interior of our home in 2011 and pressure washing of outside porches and patios on 1/10/2013.

I have used Mattt before so I just called him up and set a time for him to come out and look at what needed to be done. He came as scheduled and provided me with a bid the same day. We set up a time for him to come out and do the painting. The job was started on the scheduled day and finished as scheduled. The ceiling had to be treated for the water stains and there has been no staining coming through. Matt was very careful about draping the furniture that could not be moved out of the room and also the floors. Overall I am very pleased with the work and can highly recommend Melanson Painting.
