Very professional, gave options, we elected to pay to have samples sent to a lab, since this dog had previous mast cell that Dr Bowen removed about 18 months ago. (this dog had surgery 2 times to remove mast cell growth on belly - Dr Bowen did one, and our vet in New Jersey did the other - Dr Bowen's surgery was essentially the same as the other vets, yet was a fair bit less expensive).
So, on this past visit they removed a small cell sample (in the exam room, where I was, which I really appreciated - my other NJ vet always takes the dogs to a back room without me). Dr Bowen's staff followed up when the test results were in (Negagtive !!!); so no further action was required.
Dr Bowen used to practice up in the northeast (I think New Hampshire, but not positive), and came down to Marco. All the staff loves dogs (we do not have a cat). The practice is small, and they remember who you are, and your dog. we try to take the pups (we have 2 dogs) to Dr Bowen before we head north in May, and then as soon as we get back, as we are very comfortable with Dr Bowen and his staff

When my dog had her annual checkup with Dr. Bowen, he noticed she had an absess on her gum and recommended a teeth cleaning. He scheduled her for the same week, even tho his surgery schedule was full. Dr. Bowen is a very caring, professional vet and he along with his staff provided Coconut with great care. .
In the past, when I have contacted Dr. Bowen on his day off, regarding a problem with my dog, he took time to discuss my issue and called me the next day to see how my dog was doing. I feel very fortunate to have my Westies taken care of by Dr. Bowen.

I called Dr. Bowen's office and left a lengthy voice mail explaining that I had just moved to the island and have a 20+ year old kitty who had become ill the last time I was on a lengthy vacation. I am going out of the country for 8 days next week and have someone coming to stay with my cat but the person is from out of town and I wanted to have a well prepared emergency plan to leave her in case my kitty got sick again.
Donna from Dr. Bowen's office called me back and said I could bring my kitty in (free of charge) that afternoon so she could meet Dr. Bowen and then Donna would give me a whole and quot;success kitand quot; of information to leave for my kitty sitter. Dr. Bowen was very good with my kitty and gave her a basic look-over. Donna had achieved my pet's hospital records from Massachusetts so had her whole history and was very well prepared. I did indeed get a and quot;success kitand quot; to leave with the pet sitter and I will definitely be taking my cat back here for any treatment or check-ups she needs in the future.
Dr. Bowen was very kind and reassuring and Donna was a well-organized, resourceful person who I enjoyed immensely. I may even pretend my cat is sick just to go back and chat with Donna again I got such a kick out of her! Good people, very professional and helpful - fabulous!

Overall experience as great. My appointment was as scheduled. Dr Bowen was not rushed in his exam. He was detailed and caring. He called later to check on my baby.

It went extremely well. The office is well managed and our appointment was right on time with minimal wait in a tranquil environement. Now 2 months later all pets are showning improvements and are happy.

I think he is a very caring veterinarian. He's fair and honest. He doesn't give you a lot of medication that is not needed or testing that is unneeded. That is the one thing that I can't stand, to put my cat through testing that is not needed. He's very good in his pricing. I just enjoy the experience of going to him!
