Alpha Omega Inspections/Bart (the owner) was thorough and knowledgeable and gave us guidance on repairs and next steps. He was was on-time for our appointment, prompt in returning phone calls, and responsive post inspection. Bart returned to reinspect once repairs were completed. We highly recommend Alpha Omega Inspections.

Terrible...in his report he used words to describe a condition that scared the buyer to death. Also he quoted prices to get things fixed...later find out he is also a contractor. He mis represented some of the electrical issues...he neglected to include a permit instead he just said there was not a permit...he removed a side panel..cut the caulking without asking permission...he broke a window handle and neglected to tell the home owner. It was like he was trying to find work for himself as opposed to just reporting his findings. Would never let him on my jibsites again.
Response from Alpha Omega Inspections
"We are sorry to hear that Mr. [Member Name Removed] was unhappy with our services. In reality, Mr. [Member Name Removed] was not our customer. We are a home inspector, inspecting the home for the potential buyer. Mr. [Member Name Removed] was the current homeowner. We realize that there are times the current homeowner will be unhappy with the results of our inspection, and that is just part of our business. It is our job to inform the potential buyer (our client) of the current status of the home and items that are potential hazards to them. Marginal and defective items in our report were stated to evaluate further. Only place a price was quoted in the report was the price a structural engineer charges to evaluate an item. As Florida law says a home inspector cannot do work in a home he inspected, there would be no advantage to us to "scare a customer" by our findings. Our job is to observe and report our findings to our clients."

The cursory inspection lasted less than 10 minutes. The inspector would have left without saying anything more except we asked a few questions and received condescending answers. The inspector tried to sound authoritative but due to my extensive science background i know he was just ******* us! When he did not forward promised information I had to email twice to get response. The bill of $275 seemed high for a 10 minute quick look and a mold air filtration plate.
Response from Alpha Omega Inspections
"We are sorry to hear that Mr. [Member Name Removed] was not satisfied with the mold inspection performed. Our mold inspection consists of a non-invasive, visual inspection of the property as well as air quality sampling. The additional information that Mr. [Member Name Removed] requested was information outside the scope of our inspection. He was asking if he should have his ac vents cleaned, and if so, who he could hire that was affordable and if he needed to have his dryer vent stack cleaned, who and how much as well as information on a biocide to solve the issue himself. While we pride ourselves on prompt and courteous customer service, there are simply not enough hours in the day to do background work, outside the scope of our services, for each customer."

Alpha and Omega was by far the most honest, professional and thorough company we have ever dealt with. I made many calls to Bart and not once did he ever make me feel like I was bothering him. He answered all my questions in detail. What could have been the most horrific thing we have ever dealt with in our home he made almost a joy believe it or not. When we arrived at our home and walked in we could not believe that it was the same house. It was completely spotless, smelled fresh and my husband and I just hugged each other and said thank you Bart!

Attention to detail and extensive knowledge of homes inside and out are what I was looking for from an inspector and Bart provided that for me.  Also the inspection reports from the office manager Leslie were professionally done. Great job Alpha Omega!
