Jerry's a great guy and very knowledgeable. Fixed my garage door in May and I had another unrelated problem in July and he walked me through it on Sunday. You do not get service like Jerry's very often anymore.

Perfect experience. This is the 4th garage door (on 4 different houses over 7+ years) these guys have repaired / replaced / updated for me, and have done an excellent job every time. No up-sell bull-crap - they fix what's broken, lube and align, and you're good to go. You can spend more elsewhere, but you won't get a better value for your money. Highly recommended.

This is a father and son team with a philosophy of doing only what needs to be done. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I knew I only needed the springs replaced and nothing else--that is what they came and did. As a senior member of our community, this was important to me. I asked if they could give me an estimate over the phone--they asked me to describe my hurricane garage door so they would know how heavy it is and what springs it would most likely require. Based on their company's 40-year experience, they provided what they felt would be an accurate price to replace the correct springs for this door. We scheduled an appointment for the next morning, and they showed up 13 minutes early! This is a rarity. They were very personable and professional-- they quickly and accurately exchanged out the door springs with quality long-lasting springs for the price they quoted me on the phone. The garage door works great. Note: A highly rated competing company's phone estimate prices varied widely dependent on the coil springs needed--they did not ask me to describe my garage door even though I volunteered to do this to get a more accurate estimate. They said they could not provide a price until they got on site and they do not provide free estimates. So if I scheduled them to come out and they were not competitive in their price and I decided to not hire them, I would have to pay their $39 trip fee.

I called on a Sunday. He answered instead of it going to voicemail. He quoted a price of $255.00 to fix my broken spring. He does not take credit cards so I needed to go to the bank for the cash. We scheduled a time for the next day. He and his son were prompt and fixed the broken spring in no time. Smooth transaction although I was not offered change so it did end up costing $260.00. I would definitely call them again, but, I would make sure I had the correct change.

I called them as soon as I noticed my garage door stopped working. I left them a message. He called me back right away and told me that they would be out in 10 minutes. He said his father, the owner, said that they were going to delay their trip to Georgia to help me because I have been using them for so long. They came out in the pouring rain and fixed everything.

Terry Justice and his son were prompt, professional and courteous. We were assured that our garage door motor was of excellent quality and not in need of replacement. They quickly assessed and repaired the problem and as an extra measure, added a bar to stabilize the 17 year old garage door. While they were in the process of cleaning up, Terry felt the need to make a slight adjustment - to satisfy his high standard of work.

You will not find a tradesman as honest and reliable as Terry Goodson. My Mom is almost 95 years old and Terry installed the opener several years ago when my Dad was still alive. He has treated my parents now my Mom, as my Dad has passed on, as if they were his parents. Good luck finding someone with such integrity.

Our Garage Door wasn't working and we figured we would have to replace the whole thing.  They arrived within an hour of calling them and determined it needed to be rebuilt.  They could have easily told us we needed a new one, but they were very honest.  I will definitely recommend them.

The best!  Do not go anywhere else for garage door service.  I really can't say enough about the service with this company.  They were professional, punctual and honest.  No upsell (which I absolutely hate).  I will never go anywhere else and have already referred them to others as their service was so exceptional.  Garage door repair with no drama - easy, simple, painless and done - which is what is should be.  Customer for life.

I first called The Garage Door Man last Monday when my garage door belt broke. He suggested that I first call LiftMaster and request a new belt, as the belt has a lifetime warranty. This saved me at least $75 likely!  He could have come over and done the job that day and charged me for it and supplied the belt, but his first thought was to save a customer some money, not make money. I called LiftMaster and they shipped me a new belt, no questions asked, right away, and I received it a few days later on Friday.  I called Garage Door Man on Saturday thinking I would get the answering machine and was going to leave a message to call on Monday to set up an appointment to install the new belt, but instead, the owner answered the phone and said he could be over in a couple hours, on Saturday!  No extra charge.  This not only was great news because I couldn't use my garage for the past week, but I also did not have to take off time from work during the week to meet with him.
He and his son installed the new belt, and did an overall maintenance of the door, pointing out areas that I could maintain myself to help with keeping the door in good working order.  I appreciate when a company does this, as it not only helps maintain equipment longer, but also saves money for me by doing the maintenance myself.
While he was here, he asked if I wanted a new piece of rubber installed under the garage door (the weather stripping), and I'm so glad he asked, because it was old, worn out, and letting bugs and water inside the garage.
The man and his son are professionals.  No wonder they have such a great rating on Angie's List.  Besides being so polite and efficient, they are animal lovers and put up with my two giant poodles wanting to "help" them.  I highly recommend this mom and pop small company.  I try to go with the small guys instead of the large companies when I can.

The garage door spring broke on Sunday afternoon.  I called Terry on Monday morning at 6:15 and he returned my call by 7 a.m.  I asked him to please arrive as soon as possible because my car was in the garage and I had to drive to work.  He told me that he would be there by 8:30....he arrived at 8:10, the work was completed by 9 a.m. and I was on my way to work as scheduled.  Yippy!
I find Terry to be a nice man and very competent in his trade.  He installed my Liftmaster Garage Door Opener in 2004.  He replaced a broken spring back in 2008 as well.  I have recommended his service to many people over the past 10 years.

Terry and his son Robby were not only prompt, they were early! Of course they called first, which is a plus in my book.
We had the garage door replaced in the summer of 2004, right before the hurricanes, there had been issues with it ever since. They had not greased the tracks, telling me that we should have known to do that, I explained that they never left a manual so I would know to do this; I'd had to call them a couple of weeks after the installation because the door would jerk around a lot when opening and closing. I'd come home from work, opened the door, got out of my truck (before driving into the garage) to get the mail, then after seeing the garage door was open, I drove in. About half the way in the garage door dropped down one section, landing on top of my SUV, crunching the panel of the door when it hit my SUV. I was home alone when they came out for that so they treated me like I was stupid and the entire problem was caused by our incompetence.
After that experience, I made sure that my husband was home when Terry came out, but this really was not necessary. Terry pointed out the numerous things the installers had done wrong & was sweet enough that he fixed those things for us for no extra charge.  He explained everything he was doing and why they needed to be done, We know a lot about garage doors, openers & tracks now - it is great to have this knowledge for future problems.  He was easy to talk to, he didn't make us feel stupid.
We know we need to replace the garage door opener, soon as we can afford it we will be calling them back to do the job.
Great job, great attitude, best experience on having a home repair done.

He was promt and attentive to my concerns. However, he said repeatedly that he does not make any money on service calls. That statement was upsetting to me. He did come out twice, and he is did fix the problem
