I ordered Accordian shutters in early April 2023. Was told production would start after they received my first half of payment and obtained the permit. The money was provided to them. The sales person told me the shutters would probably be installed middle of June to end of June. NOTHING. I called in July and was told shop manager would call me back. No call and no one told me he was on vacation. I texted the sales person at least 3 times for updates and each time was told that he would find out and let me know. Hasn't happened yet. Here we are going into August, still no word and no shutters. Earlier on I recommended the company to 2 friends. One called during regular working hours and didn't get an answer. She did this twice, same response. She was smart and went with another company. I wouldn't recommend this company at all unless you don't mind silence.

I recently had BSS Exteriors install accordion hurricane shutters to protect my sliding door, and I am thoroughly impressed with their work. The process from accepting their quote to the installation took about five weeks, but this was clearly communicated upfront when we signed the contract, so there were no surprises. Throughout the process, the team was always available to answer my calls, demonstrating a high level of customer service. They were respectful, professional, and made sure I was satisfied with every step of the project. The quality of their work is excellent, and their prices are fair compared to other competitors in the market. Given my positive experience, I highly recommend BSS Exteriors for anyone needing similar services. Their commitment to great customer service and professionalism truly stands out.

I concur with what is mentioned in some of the other reviews. Very unprofessional, poor communication, and poor customer service. I reached out to them several times trying to get a simple quote for some soffit work and hurricane shutters. They came out and took measurements, but never followed up. The person taking measurements was rude and pushy about moving up the scheduled time without notice, but I obliged despite the inconvenience. Then I never received any estimate. I reached out to them after several months and was told a salesman would call. I even reached out directly to their operations manager and left a message on his mobile phone. I shouldn’t have to beg a company to take my money.

Had BSS install accordian shutters few years ago on 5 windows at cost close to $3,700! Didn't care for salesman, but used them anyway as supposed to be the best you could buy (according to him) & better than replacing windows w/impact windows (according to him). Tiebacks provided have disintegrated, so on 4/1/25 I Called to ask for replacement tiebacks. Told they are $10 each, yes $20 per window. Now, for what I paid for these shutters I believe they should be provided to me as a courtesy. At a minimum, not at that outrageous cost. Sorry I used this company back then, but recently thought advantage might be their replacing tiebacks at no cost considering the initial cost of shutters. Not to mention the pitch about family, local, best company, service-oriented, etc. Research & shop your cost & the product before considering BSS.

Had work done while I was away ,they did an excellent job

I hired BSS to work on my backyard which included expending my patio area with several cubic square feet, installing an insulated aluminum patio cover and caging the entire area. Scott was very knowledgeable and answered our questions when he came to provide the estimate. He provided a 7-8 weeks timeframe for start date. We signed and paid the initial fee at the start of May. However, despite the estimated timeframe, we didnâ t get our project completed until early Novemberâ 6months after contract signing. It was frustrating having to put up with so many delays for one reason or another. Scott and Rob understood my frustration and disappointment and offered a small discount once the project was completed. Aside from the delay, Scott responded to all my emails timely. The project itself turned out just as we have planned on paper and the install staffs were courteous and completed the project within the allotted 4days timeframe. Overall, we are satisfied. If timing isnâ t an issue with your project, Iâ d recommend them.

My experience with BSS Exteriors was top-notch. Al came out and got us a quote on the spot. He ordered our metal and took care of all the permits. The crew that came out was very courteous and worked very clean. BSS Exteriors and #YourPalAl made the whole process as smooth as possible.

BSS Exteriors took their time to educate us with our new metal roof. We had a couple of bids to compare, but no one was as thorough and considerate to us, given our inexperience with this type of project. They broke down the different roof systems and educated us with long term goals in mind. Highly recommend BSS Exteriors!

This project started out to replace all of our windows and 3 1/2 months later (because of the age and deterioration) they replaced the siding on our house, totally replaced the upstairs porch, and our front porch. They were amazing! It looks like we have a brand new house. The gentlemen who worked were all pleasant and professional. I would highly recom mend.

From the first call to Bss till the job was done, I was treated with care and advised of every step that was being taken till the job was completed. Every person that I dealt with was very knowledgeable and very professional. They made me feel like they really cared about the customer and loved there job. Janice came out to give me an estimate. She was on time for the appointment. We agreed on a price and I hired BSS Exteriors right there on the spot. We had to reschedule the install because they had a problem with the gutter truck. My job was pushed back a couple of days. Kenny showed up on time on the day he was supposed to be here and he got right to work. He answered all of my questions as he went along. He cleaned up as he went and made sure everything was picked up at the end of the job. I am very pleased with the price of the job and the workmanship that was done. I would definitely recommend BSS Exteriors for gutter installation. They also do soffits and siding. I hired another company to do that work because I hadn't found BSS Exteriors yet. But. Judging from the work they did on the gutters, I imagine that they would do quality work on the other kinds of work that they do.
