BEDROCK CONCRETE INC

I had 3 estimates, and he gave me the best price. He really did a really good job. He layed a new piece of driveway, fixed another crack, and created a new sidewalk. I feel it was a great price for all the work that was completed.

We contacted Bedrock concrete after we had purchased a large hot tub.  The hot tub needed to be placed on a slab and we had decided to install an entire patio around it.  We needed it done by a particular date and he assured us that would not be a problem.  After weeks and weeks of not showing up when he said he would and not getting the work done, he determined that the only way to get the hot tub installed on time was to pour a regular slab and then come back later to pour a concrete stamp on top (a method we have since learned is never recommended).  In the long run over weeks and weeks of delays and not showing up or showing up without the correct supplies, the stamp we requested and the colors we requested.  He proclaimed it finished.  It looked terrible.  There were footprints in the stamps, no relief points at joint areas caused it to crack within weeks, it held water instead of draining properly.  It was an absolute mess.  We ended up paying another company to come sand off the entire stamped patio portion and relay it.  We sued Bedrock concrete and Michael Altamore in small claims court and won our case (by default as he didn't show up), but have never been able to collect any of our money back.  They tell us the only way is to do a sheriff's fire sale and take his assets, but I don't think it would be worth the trouble. 

We paid a quarter at the beginning and then the rest was to be paid at the end. He complained nonstop and nickeled and dimed us to death. It took them three days to do the sealer. He never showed up when he said. The driveway turned out alright, but it is not worth the aggravation.
