 + -1 moreNot well. They would not do what they said they would do in the beginning. I wasted a lot of time and effort. In addition underwriting was ridiculous in wanting documents from 20 years ago that had no bearing on my financial health
Description of Work: I applied and was approved for a refinance of an investment property. The loan officer added points to the initial proposal but said they would not have to be paid if the appraisal came out where I had a 25% equity to loan value. The appraisal was complete and I did indeed have 25% equity. They would not remove the points. I argued that their interest rate was higher than others and points should not be applicable too because I had 25% equity in the property. They refused to remove the points. I did not complete the loan with them.

Description of Work: I was trying to do a cash-out refinance. From the beginning, I explained very clearly what I was trying to do and what I was going to do with the money. I was told that was acceptable and to submit an application. I submitted an application and everything went as planned. 6 weeks later, I was asked to explain a couple transactions that were clearly already explained by everything I submitted with my application. I was told that once this information was provided, they would schedule the closing. I provided everything they requested. Then, out of no where, I get a call and they tell me that they can do the loan but that they could not let me have the money. Rather, they said that they would have to use the money to pay off a loan hat I have on a totally separate property! A property unrelated to the transaction. Based in the 6 week delay, being told there were no issues in the beginning, having to provide documents more than once, and then being told what I have to do with the money, I told them "no thanks". Please note that the loan on the unrelated property was disclosed upfront, the loan was current, it was on my credit report that they had since day one, yet this came up 6 weeks later. Do yourself a favor, shop elsewhere!

 + -1 moreI've been really happy with them. I was in contact with 3 others and they were the very best. They were the most responsive, they follow up, they've been easy to work with, and I would highly recommend them. They have just been really, really good. I started working with the Tampa office and now I'm working with the representatives in the Maitland area of the same company and it's just that they have just been exceptional. I would just highly recommend them to anybody. They're incredibly professional, they were quick to respond both by email and by phone, they followed up on things, and their rates were better than others. Some funding agencies when you're buying a home have special fees and they weigh the rendered fee, they have lower cost for appraisal fees than anybody else. The appraiser came today and he was telling me that with the other companies that he does appraisals for the bank demands that they have to give them half of the appraisal fee. RP lets the appraiser keep it all so they're good to the people that they deal with. They are in the home mortgage business. I found them very professional, responsive, and in every question that I've had, they provided answers for. Because they were out of town, they sent me a self-addressed FedEx envelope so I would not have to pay them money to send them documents and information. They're just very, very supportive in all the steps I'm going through in buying a house and getter the lenders involved step by step in the process.
