Mike was great! He was able to do the inspection in the time needed. He was extremely thorough and had a report complete with details and pictures to us and our realtor the same day.

I hired Mike to preform a home inspection at a house I am considering for purchase. He was easy to get ahold of and schedule with. Once onsite for the inspection he went right to work and was extremely thorough. I am so glad that I had him do the inspection as he walked me through his report and pointed out several items for consideration that were not even required for the inspection. I now feel well informed and better prepared to proceed with the home purchase without paying more than I should. Mike is great.

He was very through. Took a bunch of pictures with notes in his report of the house. We are moving to the area from another state, so this was VERY helpful! Would recommend him to anyone wanting a home inspection!

It was the most though and professional thing that I've ever seen. He describes everything and discusses everything with you. He sends you the computer report with pictures and commentary. It has orange arrows pointing to each item so you know exactly what your looking at, even I could follow it! It was wonderful service

I'm going through the process of buying my first home. To add to my stress level, I watch way too much about bad home inspections on HGTV. Mike Ossmann was recommended to me by my realtor after I explained that I was very concerned with having a thorough and accurate home inspection - especially since the home I'm buying is 20+ years old. I found Mike to be pleasant, personable, professional and extremely knowledgeable and thorough. The inspection took about 4 1/2 hours. Mike started on the outside inspecting all the walls, window frames, soffits, doors, jambs and sidewalk - poking, prodding and taking pictures of everything. He went up on the roof, took pictures of the chimney stacks, shingles, etc. Inside Mike tested all the appliances, drains, shower heads, sinks, a/c temperature, water temperature, air handler and on and on - he even checked to see if the windows were just dirty or if they were fogged between the double panes. Up in the attic he brought me back photos of water damage, the presence of rodents and the condition of the insulation. Mike uses cool tools too, like the moisture meter to test for moisture behind the shower walls! All during the inspection, Mike encouraged my questions, never hesitating to discuss with me what he was finding. The report I received was quite long and contained a very detailed account of every aspect of the house that he was able to inspect and pictures of all questionable and/or concerning items. By the time Mike was done I felt I had a really good feel for the house and what I was in store for - including asking the seller for a new roof that had never been replaced since original. I think Mike's price was extremely reasonable for the peace of mind service he provided to me and I have no reservations in giving him my highest recommendation.
