We purchased the floor form a local flooring company. I recommend this if you are in the house while they are installing the floors. The already finished wood made it easier to live in the house, while they worked. We had a rock fireplace that they had to meticulously cut out every piece of wood. Also they did an amazing job making the floor flow from one room to the next. They quoted us one price and stuck to it even though they had to redo the entire front door entrance, I would highly recommend them for installing hard wood floors. Great guys to work with.

It went very well. It took 2 weeks from start to finished. More than a week sanding and then a week of multiple coats of varnish. We found one area in a bedroom where the vanish had run, but it was only visible in certain light. My one complaint would be they didn't ask us what kind of finish we wanted, high gloss semi glass or matt. We didn't think to mention it and it wasn't til the last coat was drying that we saw it was semi gloss and we would have picked high gloss.
