JIM CHONKO ROOFING & CONSTR

HORRIBLE!!!! Mr. Jim Chonko had been highly recommended and my father and sister who both had dealings with him and had him do their roofs so I figured we were in good hands. WRONG!!!!! My sister is a stickler for such things and finds the best for the best price and she was very pleased with him. We contacted him, and he scheduled a time for an estimate and showed up on time. He provided us a quote and assured my husband and I that he could do us a great job. We signed a contract in March 2012. We needed our roof replaced before we could renew our homeowners insurance in May. Jim did not start when he said he would. Materials were not delivered on the dates he said and when I inquired with the materials company, they told me Mr. Chonko was on vacation in Colorado. We had no idea when or if he was going to return and start our roof. Jim's brother returned our calls to the office number (Jim's cell phone mailbox was full and we could not leave messages nor reach Jim at all). The brother shows up with another guy to start our roof. The whole week, both the brother and this worker argued constantly, cussing, bickering, fussing, yelling, screaming, etc. all during their whole time on the roof. My husband took out his GOPRO and began filming them. They didn't like that but we needed proof of their UNPROFESSIONALISM. One day, the other worker got so fed up, he walked off the job and roof and didn't return. The brother had to finish by himself, but ended up leaving early anyway that same day. The whole experience was PATHETIC and HORRIBLE. When Jim returned from vacation, he had to come and finish the roof his brother didn't. That Saturday it poured rain but Jim was on the roof by himself and finished. When he came in to sign the completed papers, we let him know how disgusted we were. My husband filmed the whole meeting on his GOPRO. We told jim all the issues we had and how disappointed we were with the whole thing. He asked what he could do to make it right and my husband had him come down on his price as compensation. It helped. BUT NOW, 1 yr later we have leaks and I am currently NOT GETTING ANY RESPONSE FROM HIM. I've been trying to get him to come out since 7-4-13 to fix the leak and he has only return one phone call and claimed he'd come out, but we have not seen nor heard anything further from him. I went by the business but no one was there. I am calling daily and leaving messages and will go by the business again until I get him. I won't give up, and will make his life miserable until he becomes a professional and fixes his work. DO NOT USE THIS MAN FOR ANYTHING. He is avoiding us now and we feel he just doesn't care. Poor way to run a business.
