This job was done in February 2017. I just discovered I never finished writing the review. So here it is 3 years later. First, doing this review now lets me tell you that our new metal roof made it through Hurricane Michael with flying colors. We had other storm damage ($25,000 worth) but the roof did fine. The job was done on schedule though interrupted by two afternoon heavy rain events. First class installation by a team that showed up on-time each morning, worked hard and got along well together. They were proud of their work and and cleaned up the site when done even using a magnetic sweeper to lift any roofing nails that might have fallen. The roof we chose was white which made our house really stand out over the gray siding and white trim. Moreover, our HVAC bills were lowered (I track it). Last, I want to tell you that Guyson are more than just roofers after your money. They are fine local people. Recently, my 94 year-old neighbor climbed on his roof to do some repairs. He fell off the roof onto a concrete pad and spent 5 days in intensive care. 20-some staples in his head, boot on his left leg and badly bruised ribs but super lucky to be alive. Needless to say, he's not going to get on the roof anytime soon. I get "the cat claws" when I'm on a pitched roof. So I called Guyson and when they heard the story they came out and looked at the job. Although they are swamped and this is a small job they're gonna do finish the repair anyway. God love 'em. BTW, my neighbor's fall is how I found out I never finished this review I started in 2017.

Im a honest hard working roofer that came up from Tampa to work. I worked for Guyson for 2 weeks. This is the worst company to get a roof from. The crew I worked with were Hispanic guys from Texas. I tried to help them understand what the FL roofing codes consisted of but they were more interested in getting the roof done so they could move on to the next one. They didn't care at all about the quality of their work. None of the decking, flashing, or underlayment was done to code. The crew's leader told the owner of the company it was my fault the jobs weren't passing inspections and that lie prevented me from getting paid. I'm embarrassed to have been apart of their team

They did a good job and came out again to prove that the leaks were not from their new installation at my request. They also had a nice professional attitude.

The job went great and looks great. I needed the work done to satisfy insurance inspectors. Guyson found an opening in their schedule and pulled us in a week early. Despite one terrifically heavy rain day the crew finished timely. Promptly on the job at 7am and no-nonsense progress until quitting time. The guys were very professional and made sure that the roof not only looked great but cleaned up after themselves each evening and at the end of the job. Office staff very communicative before, during and after job completion. Paperwork quickly sent to qualify for Gulf Power energy rebate. I highly recommend Guyson for your roofing needs.

Excellent communication from this firm. They showed up on time, completed the job in a timely and professional manner for the quoted price with no drama or price changes.

Roof is beautiful. Did a great job on the roof. However the little details they missed IN a BIG way. To start with they left the gutters on the back of the house that we were replacing and just put the roof over it. So now we have a rusty,eye sore drip strip on the back of the house. Doyle said he would have guys come out multiple times but after the third or fourth time being told that we just gave up on them. The first time it rained our gutters overflowed because it was filled with roofing paper, tiles and old roofing nails. I guess when they prepped the roof they just blew all that stuff off into the gutters and left it for me to clean up. Lastly, my microwave recently shorted out. When I pulled it out to replace it there were 5 roofing nails that had gone down the exhaust pipe from the roof and went into the exhaust fan of the microwave. They were the only ones I've had do roofing work, since I installed that microwave. They do a very nice jobless the main part of the roof, but are lacking in the little details. If Doyle would have held to his word and came back out and made things right, this would have been an A review. But he didn't. I shouldn't have to have a contractor come out behind him to finish the little things the failed to do.

They did a good job. We had to wait a couple months because they were so busy, but once they came out they stayed on the job until it was done.

.I met Doyle Guyson when I was looking for someone to put a new metal roof on my new home when I moved here.Doyle is such a nice man and very professional. He came out to meet me and give an estimate and a selection of colors to choose from. I chose my color and he had my new roof on in less than a week! It is beautiful and we noticed a decrease in our power bill immediately. I highly recommend Guyson Construction for your home improvement. He is honest and fair and waste no time getting the job done. It was the same way with our windows. we just love him to pieces and will be using him again for our future improvements!  Doyle Guyson rocks!

Gave a great price estimate that allowed me to chose exactly what I wanted done and how much I wanted to spend depending on type of quality and roof replacement I wanted. They arrived on scheduled day and completely removed the old asphalt shingle roof replaced all bad decking they found and put the new painted 26 gauge metal roofing on in a day and a half. Great to work with from the start to finish and the new roof is just beautiful at a great price.  

Guyson Constructions are very professional people. Their crew started work 7 in the morning. They worked till 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Did excellent job and finished the project on time. I am very happy with their work.

They were prompt and thorough with their bids, communicated extremely well with requested adjustments and info provided by the homeowner prior to beginning the work.  Originally scheduled for the week of Christmas, we were pleasently surprised that they were able to start a week early, completed during the timeframe outlined within the bid/contract, and did a magnificent job with the clean-up and removal.  Torrential rain the following week resulted in a small leak down one of the 'knocked-down' chimneys.  The day after they were notified of the leak, workers showed up and resolved the issue.  Absolutely the best workmanship and responsiveness we have ever experienced when dealing with a contractor.  We highly recommend this roofer to anyone who needs quality workmanship!

Doyle Guyson and his crews installed a standing seam metal roof on my home. Doyle was easy to work with and they did an excellent job on the roof.  They removed the old roof, completely removed all the debris, and installed a self-sealing underlayment prior to putting the roof down.  All work was done in a timely manner and Doyle was a complete professional throughout the project.

I hired Guyson Construction to replace the roof on my home.  The crew worked around some very bad weather and were able to have the roof replaced without additional water damage. Thier price was fair and beat many of the competitors. The job was extensive and took the crew 4 days to complete. They were professional and Doyle Guyson stopped by frequently to check progress. He was hands on and inspected the roof each day. He had the crew take the extra time and perform a detailed clean up of the job site.  Overall I was very impressed and recommend. 

When I first read the quote, I thought maybe there had been a typo.  The price was that good in comparison to the others I'd had out for estimates.  The materials came from the same manufacturer as the expensive guys too.
Communication before the job was excellent.  They arrived when they said they would and did a great job when they got here.  Everything was fully explained and there were no surprises. The crew was very polite, and professional. They cleaned up after themselves ... What more could you ask?
