Great. Were on time for the pickkups, work was done quickly and it looks wonderful.

I visited the office to gather information about availability, price, and scheduling. Walt's daughter Ashley was very helpful and answered all my questions. I was looking to use leather and after getting educated by Ashley, I decided on a recycled leather based on its enhanced durability. Walt's sells recycled leather (and provides complimentary color swatches), but customers are also at liberty to provide their own fabric. Walt's is a family business and various members picked up and delivered the couch and cushions from/to my home. At one point, work was provided on 2 cushions instead of 3, due to a miscommunication. The company quickly remedied the issue at no additional cost, with Walt himself delivering the final product to make sure I was happy with the outcome. These folks are experienced, talented and provide great customer service.

I sent an e-mail to various upholsterers in the area, and Walt's estimate came back the most affordable, AND they could come right away and pick up my stuff. Within a couple of days, they were back on the phone ready to return my items. Fantastic service! I'm so happy with the workmanship -- Ethan Allan couldn't have done better! -- and the whole process was virtually painless. Thank you, Walt's, for a terrific job. All my friends will be calling you soon!

Excellent. The came by on a Monday picked up the kitchen chairs returned them Weds and took the dinning room chairs and returned them Friday. Beautiful work.

The entire transaction was handled professionally and promptly. They picked up the furniture exactly when promised and delivered it back within 4 days. The seats are firm again! I would definitely recommend.

Originally, I was very happy with the job. Unfortunately, within a couple of weeks, the ribbing started to catch when the rocker was placed in a reclining position. I reported this to the company and they never replied. The problem has caused the ribbing to wear/rip a hole in the upholstery of the recliner.

It's cheaper than getting a hold of a dining room set, trust me. A quality dining room set would have been in the thousands. His quality is excellent. I would say don't throw away your expensive dining room or furniture; give Walt's a chance to repair it. He would remodel and restore expensive stuff for a fraction of the cost that it takes to buy new stuff. He reupholstered the chairs...the chairs were out of line and were split and this and that...then he looked at it to see how he could even tuck them on even better than they were originally. The material was very durable, wipe-able and everything. He did an excellent job.

Walt came at the scheduled time to give me an estimate for the labor, since I had already selected the fabric from a local fabric store. As it turned out, there were many delays getting the selected fabric, so Walt came again armed with sample books. When I didn't find anything I liked, he told me he would come again after getting a better idea of what I was looking for. He once again came at the appointed time and I found exactly what I was looking for. They picked up my chairs when the fabric was delivered and I got my chairs back within a week. I am thrilled with the results. The two large chairs look better than they did when I bought them. They did a fabulous job reupholstering everything. The two men who picked up my chairs and brought them back were very pleasant to deal with and respectful of my house, being very careful not to bump walls while moving the chairs. It was a pleasure doing business with everyone at Walt's. I'm only sorry I have nothing else to reupholster. I would recommend them to anybody.

We needed our kitchen chairs restuffed with new foam due to years of usage. We found Walt's Upholstery on the list and contacted them via email to inquire about their services. Even though we sent the email on a weekend they responded very quickly.  We were informed that they would come to our home to pick up the chairs, take them back to their shop to have the work done and then they would deliver them back to our home.

We did look for new chairs but did not find anything comparable to what we currently had. Walt's price was also very competitive. We contacted them again to make the final arrangements. We were given a date approximately 3 weeks out. They contacted us for pickup and we had the chairs back the end of that same week.

The chairs are like new again. Excellent customer service and workmanship!

After researching for the job on Angie's List (using my business partners log-in) I placed the call to Walt's and from that first call his staff was great. I was immediately called back to make arrangements for Walt to come by to look at the sofa. What has made this all the more important to me is that the furniture belonged to my daughter and was shipped to me after her passing. Taking care of it has special meaning to me. Walt went out of his way to work the evaluation visit into my work schedule and got there on the dot and not only gave me the estimate for the mend but said that he could also replace the cushion inserts when asked about that. Walt went out of his way to schedule the pick up and delivery of the sofa to help make it ready for expected company this weekend.
The two gentlemen that came to pick up the sofa and cushions were also on-the-dot and handled everything with such care and respect. I was so happy to know that things were finally going to be taken care of and felt complete trust in what was going to be done. The sofa and cushions were delivered...again on-the-dot...and when the same guys brought in the cushions first I was amazed at how great they look. My daughter would love it. Then they brought in the sofa as carefully as they had taken it out and the mending looks great.
My business partner is already planning on a job for Walt and I am going to ask him to mail me some of his business cards to share with my customers if anyone mentions needing this type of work. In fact...as I brag about him to them I am hoping to make them remember that work they have been "meaning to get done but never knew who to call".
It always makes me happy to do business with another business owner who is really the face behind the name. When you want to use Walt's Upholstery you really get WALT and his great staff's follow through is a testimony to him as well.

Walt, the owner came to our house to quote us the price and within a few weeks, our couch and recliners were picked up for servicing and the furniture was returned a few days later.  We could not be happier with their professionalism and punctuality.  Ashley coordinated our delivery times and provided great customer service.  Our delivery men, Jimmy and Paul, were exceptional as well.  I would not hesitate to refer/recommend Walt's Upholstery to anyone who could use their type of service.  I have to admit that our leather furniture looks better than the day we purchased it.

This was my first re-upholstery experience and I am so pleased! Walt came to my home to assess the work. I had some leather samples and he helped me make a selection and ensure I ordered the correct amount.
Walt picked up the chairs and performed the work in his shop. The work was completed in a few weeks, and the company delivered the new chairs to my south St Petersburg condo.  The work is beautiful!!

--Ashley at the front desk is very knowledgeable about the upholstering business and can provide very good advice.  I've also seen her go to a supervisor in the event that a question needs more expert review.  Thus I have a great deal of confidence based on my experiences when I first enter.
--The cushions that Walt's repaired for me were first looked at by another upholstering company in Tampa.  That person wanted almost $1,000 dollar to replace the foam and never mentioned that the cushions had springs and down wrapping in addition to the foam.  The quote was simply to replace foam.
--Walt's team inspected the cushions and determined that the springs were in excellent condition and made simple adjustments to a couple of them.  They also told me that the foam was in great shape and did not need to be replaced.  The real issue was the down which they replaced.
--I'm delighted with the result.
--Given my experience with Walt's, I would not go anywhere else.  I had an opportunity to see some of the work that he had completed and that was ready for delivery.  The quality of the work was excellent.

I'd been looking for a reupholsterer for this couch for a few years, had a couple of estimates given, but could tell that most of these people did not want to take on this job, probably because of the size of the couch.  I found Walt's name on Angie's list, with a host of rave reviews.  I called and he came within days and did not get that "deer-in-the headlights" look upon seeing what I wanted.  He had fabric swatches with him, but happily came back the next day with others when he saw what I already had, and pretty much wanted to replicate.  He had exactly what I wanted!  I was put on his 2 week-or-so wait list and the sofa was picked up.  Love, love loved the look of the fabric when the couch was returned a short time later.  There were a few minor glitches, which were IMMEDIATELY AND CHEERFULLY dealt with by Walt's daughter (this is a family business) daughter Ashlea, and I could not be happier with the final result.
After all  the time it took me to find Walt's Upholstery and the quality of the work he and his people do, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend him to friends and family...I now have a 23 year-old NEW couch--and I'm thrilled.

This company is fantastic!  They did a great job on our chairs and were very personable and friendly.  One of the chairs had a "wobble" and they are fixing it for us now.  We would strongly recommend this great family-owned and run business and will definitely use them again should the need arise..

Walt and his team are the BEST!!! Walt came out quickly, gave me a fair estimate and had Ashley, in his shop, call and schedule pick up. The least scheduling change was always communicated...so professional! When the sofa was returned, it looked BETTER than new...it looks great and is more comfortable than ever. The cushions are plump and now are sewn to the frame...looks so much better and you'd never guess it wasn't always this way. Walt doesn't have you pay until he knows you are completely satisfied. Every person I came in contact with was so friendly and went above and beyond in customer service. I would use their services again in a heartbeat! I was also impressed with how fast the work was completed and the flexibility of delivery dates and times.

When we took the chairs in we thought we would be required to purchase the fabric from Walt's. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we could purchase fabric wherever we wanted. They told us how much fabric we would need and made sure that we knew to order extra if the pattern needed to be matched. They also told us they could add a contrasting piping if we wanted. We did purchase our own fabric. We were told it might be 10 days 2 week before the chairs would be ready. To our surprise, they were ready within four days. Every person we came in contact with was cheerful, informative and helpful. If we ever need anything else upholstered, we will go to Walt's. We will direct friends and neighbors to Walt's for all of their upholstery needs. Oh, these chairs had been in my mothers home for many years and they came out looking like new!
