Very professional, friendly and efficient

They did an excellent job prepping the house, filling hairline cracks in stucco, and painting.

They did a good job and after it was done, they gave us a good amount of time for touch up, and they did their promise to do the touch up work and we were very satisfied.

This was another great experience with an Angie's List firm. I dealt with the owner Philip and he was exceptionally professional in his presentation. I was pleased with all aspects and especially the end result. Philip first of all made us feel comfortable from the beginning to the end of all phases of the job. They were true to their word and the painters were polite and professional from start to finish. They pressure washed, caulked every door and window and painted the entire exterior of our two story home. Their work was detailed and they were very receptive to my requests for corrections. We have a 2800 sq ft home with lots of trim and grooves. The entire company is a "CLASS ACT" and we would recommend them to anyone.

The job was superb, and the owner Philip is master of colors and painting. He is very cordial and professional. The price to quality ratio is very high for the job, and my house was totally transformed. evertime I come home, I cannot help admiring the beautiful color. Specifically, Mr Santiago and his nephew did the pairing, and it was absolutely top quality. My neighbors has a similar color scheme as mine, yet the delivery was clear below. One advice: the eventual color of the whole house might be very different from the small sampling patch, but rest assure that the final result will be what you want, once you let them know the color choice.

Villa Portofino did an excellent job of prepping the surfaces (power wash, fill cracks, caulk, repair damage) and the paint job was great. They went the distance by painting sample areas (twice) and set about to paint as soon as we were ready.

Mr. Knox painted my home in 2012. I was selling my home and during an inspection cracks were observed in the stucco so I had to hire a stucco company to make the necessary repairs and the repaired areas had to be repainted. I contacted Mr. Knox and advised him of my problem. He immediately told me "Don't worry I'll take care of it"Needless to say Mr. Knox kept his word and went above and beyond what was requested of him.  Mr. Knox and his crews did an outstanding job.  But more importantly Mr. Knox is an outstanding individual who has great character!

We have used Villa Portofino several times over the last few years.  They consistently provide prompt, professional and excellent work.  They are able to provide a very competitive price without ever sacrificing the quality of work.  I will continue to use and recommend them for any paint job (Interior or Exterior).  A quality company.

this is a very late review, but overall was a great experience. I felt like I was getting good quality paint, and two years later it (of course) still looks great.
Very easy to deal with - the owner, the emails, the workers all nice people.

Great company to work with.  They respond to email questions very quickly, day and night.  The house looks great and were very quick to address all my concerns.  We will be using them again in the future.

The owner and the office staff are very professional and easy to communicate with.

The people that actually do the work speak no English at all and I am not confident they are trained in the proper application of the sealer or in painting.

They oversprayed on my roof.  The response from the owner was basically it was an old roof.

They fixed it by using paint similar to the roof color to touch up some areas however from down the street the white overspray on my red/brown roof looked terrible.

They were prompt to respond to issues however I would not use them again because they ruined my roof and painting over it is not an acceptable fix.   If the painters had been properly trained and supervised this would not have happened.

I also had an issue with hairline cracks a year later, again they were quick to respond however if the workers had been properly trained and supervised I do not think I would have had either issue.

Fast, excellent job.

I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for someone to paint the exterior of your house. They are fast, professional and use top notch paint. ALSO their price is very competitive!

While the owner is professional and has good ideas, the work is performed by a crew whose quality does not match up to the promise. While the price was good, some things that happened that made this a B review versus an A.
They sprayed over bugs by the front door, rather than wipe them away before painting.
They did not remove wreath hangers from front door as asked before painting. The owner said this would be done in prepping.
They did not paint the undersides of the trim boards in pool area. We discussed this with the owner in the quote process, and were told this would be done. This is important as it provides some water-proofing .
The crew left trash in the yard on more than one occasion. They also left my hose unwound and hose box pulled out into the driveway. Eventually the lid was broken off. I notified the owner, he did not replace this and tried to shift the blame to other contractors I had working on the house. Even though I had notified him earlier that his crew were not taking care of this and I watched one of his crew actually kick the hose box on the last day to try to get it back in place.
The owner said he would provide a quote to finish a small exterior building to match the house. This still has not been received.
Overall, just an OK experience.

Villa Portofino is by far the best vendor I've ever used!  The more than exceeded my expectations and rated A+ in all the listed items.  Not only were they professional, friendly, punctual, reliable, and fun to work with, they were so fast it made our heads spin.  We had a badly faded exterior with colors that were not to our liking, and they made our home look elegant and rich!  The interior was painted with mustards and badly needed covering up.  Within a couple of days, all the moldings, doors, and walls looked brand new!  We are selling our home, so having it perfect was needed - well, they did more than perfect.  And so reasonably priced, we were floored again!  They pride themselves on craftsmanship, quality, and complete customer satisfaction, and they delivered!  The owner is a true businessman and understands what a customer wants and deserves.  He  is of the old school in providing the ultimate in service delivery and is a man of his word.  It is a family business and they are all truly phenomenal.  You can trust them completely - very hard to find in today's world of substandard vendors.  Don't bother looking anywhere else - when you find the best, forget the rest. I had great experience with this company. Phillip, the owner, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He is a master painter which didn't mean much to me at the beginning, but as he demonstrates his knowledge and skills, I began to appreciate it more. He came out to give me the estimate and took the time to explain a lot of things to me. He and his wife were very responsive to my questions and concerns. Once we hire them for the job, Phillip came out several times to help me out with picking the right color. He even prevented me from making the mistake of picking a color that was too bright. He even went and knocked on neighbors' doors to get the color code that I like. Phillip was willing to come out late in the evening or even weekends to work with us.
The painter was great also. Raul painted my whole house single handedly. He did a wonderful job and very professional and friendly. He communicated well with us and was more than happy to comply to all of our requests. He even painted our outside lights for us so we don't have to buy new ones. He did a wonderful job on my house and all of my neighbors gave us compliments on the new paint job also.
I would really recommend that you call Phillip at Villa Portofino for all your painting needs. Look around, but before you hire, make sure to call them. You won't regret it. Their price is comparable to others, but they are so much easier to work with and very responsive to all your needs and concerns. I just can't say enough about this company. They are family owned and his wife is there all the times to answer my emails (day or night).
