Tom’s Floor Sanding is your company for Floor Refinishing and Hardwood Top Coating. Our professional and personal customer service has allowed us to become the floor refinisher of choice by our customers and contractors. We have completed quality work in historic homes in South Tampa, Avila and around the Tampa Bay Area. We have serviced both residential and commercial customers for over 30 years.

In 2013 we had some slats in our oak parquet buckling. Peggy came to our house, told us to put weight on the area to flatten it out and run fans to dry it out. She also pointed out how moisture could be getting to the floor. After the area dried, Tom & his son refilled the cracks for us and it looked great again.
Fast forward 2 years and the wood in a slightly different area started to turn black. I called Peggy for help again. I started with fans & weights but with all the rain we were having, the spot kept getting worse. We took out one square of parquet and Peggy checked the area with moisture meters. She made suggestions to try to save the floor. Unfortunately we had water intrusion from the exterior of our house and had to pull up all the original wood flooring in the room. With the next big storm the room flooded and we wet vacuumed 50 gallons of water out before we were able to stop the flooding. Peggy stayed in contact and tried very hard to help us. She is very honest with her advice and I will always appreciate the help she gave us. All of my hardwood floor business goes to Tom's Flooring. They know what they are talking about.
