JC and Caleb came for our well inspection yesterday and did an excellent job! I don't see many reviews here regarding inspections so I wanted to add one! They were very professional and went above and beyond to locate the well and answer all of our many questions. This is our first experience with a well and we will be trusting our business to Pope's. You should too!

Well stopped working, no water Saturday evening. I called Pope's Water Systems for their 24-hour service. Even though I have home warranty services, I am so very thankful to have the best company to do the repair the very next morning, Sunday, rather than wait for an unknown service the following week. Dustin did a great job. Thank you for your immediate response.

Excellent service. Came out the same day that I called, gave me a quote for the service and performed the job on agreed date and time. Couldn't be easier.

The whole process went about as well as any repair I've ever had. The office person I spoke to twice was friendly and promised to call before the technician showed up, which happened about an hour after I initially called for service.
Danny showed up 10 minutes later and immediately was very engaging and demonstrated a great deal of knowledge as he began troubleshooting. It only took him about 15 minutes to determine the cause wasn't a failed pump, but instead some bad wiring. He repaired the wires and replaced the pump controller that got fried due to the short then tested the system to ensure the system was operating within specs.
Everything is working great again. If I ever need service again I'm going to ask for Danny!
Thanks for a great job,
Doug Mobley

Everyone I dealt with at Pope's were complete professionals and just plain nice people. I was promised first thing in the morning service and that's exactly what I got. Seems all the reviews I read about this company and the technician Danny are true. First off Danny is prompt, courteous, personable, honest and above all else he really knows his stuff. I had expected my pump to be completely shot and was not looking forward to shelling out $1500 - $2000 to replace it but that's life with a submersible pump. In no time at all Danny found the problem to be just two burnt wires. A CRC Control Box was installed to help lower the current draw of the old pump to help give some extra life. He also installed a new pressure switch and pressure gauge.
Saying I'm happy with their service is a bit of an understatement, ecstatic is more like it. An unscrupulous person or company could of easily convinced me that my pump was history and sold me thousands of dollars of work. The honesty of Danny reflects on not only his integrity but that of Pope's. Thank you all very much. Pope's has me for a customer for life and I cannot reccomend anyone else.

In 2011, Pope's put in our well. They were supposed to place the water line around a pool that was going to be built at a later time (this summer). Somewhere along the way, there was a communication breakdown and the line was placed directly through where the pool is going. I spoke to Paul a number of times and we were able to come to what I felt was a fair and equitable solution. We paid for the extra line, and Pope's covered the labor. Because our yard is low-lying in some areas, his guys ended up taking a good part of the day. The only "knock" is did take 3-4 weeks and a number of calls to finally get on the calendar. But, they could have made this process very difficult and charged for labor and parts and I really wouldn't of had much recourse. So, I was pleased with the outcome and felt they made the best out of a difficult situation.

This is our third time using Pope's, and seriously you guys, if you have a problem with your well, just call them. They are amazing. Especially Danny. Great service, really nice, low-key people and very professional. We live in the jungle and creatures are always messing with our water system. The first time, it was bull ants, two years later, tree roots, this year, vines. We call Pope's, Danny comes out and it is all better. This is the first time we had to use the emergency service, so I was surprised to get Danny again. The poor guy probably never sleeps. Thanks Pope's. Thanks Danny. You guys rock.

1. Came on time. Technician had 44 years in the business.
2. Diagnosed and repaired motor capacitor. Cost $100.
3. Recommended that should the unit fail again, that the pump be replaced.
Indicated that the motor was around 1960 and that they do not make that form any more.
Would require an adapter. Estimated future cost would be about $500.
I was impressed with the fact that they did not immediately suggest the higher repair and
did not try to pressure me into more cost. I felt comfortable with his honesty.
Will definitely you them again.

I was having an issue with my irrigation system, with pressure drop causing dry spots in the lawn areas. A previous irrigation company had told me that the well pump 'sounded like it was wearing' about a year ago, so I assumed that it was the pump that was the issue. So I called Pope. Gave them the model number of the existing pump so they could bring a replacement.
The serviceman came out, checked the pump, and said that while it did appear to be wearing, that it was producing sufficient pressure to do the job, and that replacing the $800 pump was probably not necessary at this point. He did some adjustments on some of the sprinkler heads, bled the air from the system, and all is working fine. He even suggested some changes in the wiring of the system to improve operation. And left a quote should we need to replace the pump in the future.
I was impressed by the courtesy and honesty of their repairman, as so often suggestions are made just to sell more equipment. I would definitely use Pope's again if the need arises. Greal people.

The technician looked over my entire system which consist of the well, above ground 1 hp electric powered pump, bladder pressure tank, whole house filter, and water softener. Only the pump was not working properly, but the technician examined everything.
I showed him how my filter was being clogged prematurely with a lot of ground or earth debris. There was no immediate explanation for that. He examined the well itself(piped hole in the ground with suction pipe going down into the piped hole). He discovered that it was not sealed and that a fist sized frog was living(nesting) in the gap between the piped hole and the suction pipe! We saw the frog make a run for safety! (By process of elimination, I now know that that frog was responsible for all the debris getting into the water and being caught by my whole house filter. The debris may have contributed to the failure of the plastic internals of the pump as well.
Since follow up work was going to be required, I ask for a quotation, which he provided over the phone within about 48 hours. For larger amounts of work, I always consider 2 or 3 qualifying quotes before giving out the work. In this case, another company won the followup pump replacement and well sealing.
The tech lowered the turn on/turn off pressure to allow my system to limp along until it was repaired. This did work for a few days.
I would recommend Pope's Water Systems, Inc. to Angie's list members. I would caution them not to speak negatively about other companies as this actually reflects poorly on your own. Also, all providers should realize that we are still in a depressed economy(depression) and that many consumers only want to fix what is absolutely necessary.

The owner Paul and his son are both very experienced in this field and quite friendly. They will go to great lengths to explain the whole process. Pope's well drilling team took the time to describe each step of the process as the well was being drilled making me feel like I was part of the drilling team. This gave me a lot of comfort that the well was being drilled properly. They take a lot of care to continuously test the drilling mud to assess the type of earth/rock layers they are penetrating to ensure that they have reached the correct strata to ensure a proper well installation.
Pope is not the cheapest company in the market but they bring well-maintained equipment to the site staffed by knowledgeable and friendly individuals. The drilling team appeared to be quite efficient and worked at a steady pace. They did a very good job of cleaning up after themselves and the finished installation had a professional look to it, not to mention that I now have a high flowing well with nice clean water.
There was one slight issue with an adjustment to one of the pressure gauges that I found leaking after all of the work was done. Paul immediately sent out a man who corrected the problem and I have had no issues since. I would highly recommend Pope Water Systems if you are considering drilling or repairing your well!

Called Pope's Well Drilling on Wed. am and they were out by the afternoon.
Danny the service tech checked 20 year old system and said it was probably the
drop line leaking. Gave us an estimate for the new system.
They said they would have a team out on Thursday morning. Then on Thursday
morning Danny and Jason were out and replace old system.
The service techs were very professional. And work was promptly completed.
And kept to the estimate.
We would highly recommend Pope's Well Drilling to anyone.
