replacing major components on a high end almost brand new unit saying that we had a sever mold issue. Quoted her $700 and never cleaned anything.

I had no filter for 4 days but luckily Caldeco came through. Thank goodness for Caldeco. They replaced the filter reasonably and cleaned the unit for about $100. Go with Caldeco.
Morgan Air solicited me and I shouldn't have done work with them. Atrocious.
Feeling overwhelmed and helpless (90+ degrees out, it was a weekend and felt I could trust the company the warranty people sent out), I accepted their "deal". They informed me of cost savings with my electric company (my electric bill has been higher since the installation of said unit) and rebates (no further information received on this) but I have seen no signs of either. They started the replacement process and after 30+ days, the work is still not quite complete (waiting for some drywall work to be completed as well as a final inspection). It has taken multiple calls to get someone to come out to do follow up work and appointments have all been delayed (one 9 am appt actually took place at 5 pm on a Saturday - the entire day was spent waiting for someone to show up). When they say they will arrive at 10, it's more like noon or later if at all.
I received a notice from the warranty company (after the unit was installed) that the coil was covered and called Morgan Air to ask about this. Eric informed me that I should receive a refund of $200 or so because of that. I have since sent two emails to the Morgan Air and made a phone call but still no response regarding any refund.
I feel I was completely taken advantage of by this company and that in fact, I did not need an entirely new unit. I would not recommend this company and will be contacting the home warranty company as well.
In March 2013, they came to arrange a financing plan for a new air conditioning system. Come to find out, they installed a used system that is in horrible shape. The coils are badly leaking and there is rust all over the inside. I had someone come out to clean the air duct vents and after they opened up the unit, this was noticed. The unit is only 8-9 months old, there should be no way this system should be going to fault this soon.
They are a total rip off, I have been informed that they are ripping off others as well. I am contacting every office that I possibly can to get this word out.
This is our story dealing with Morgan AC, Lutz, FL. We learned our lesson with this company. After we were already committed, we discovered there was a Better Business Bureau alert for Morgan AC, and their accreditation with BBB was revoked. Their rating was D- as of 8/7/2013. Our experience was dreadful, and while we feel we have a quality product, Morgan AC was extremely difficult to deal with, and inept at customer service. Here is a list of some of the problems we experienced:
*We agreed to a new system, but our system was functioning. We were told the install could start within an hour, and should be done by late afternoon. We were also told we wouldn't have any major interruption in our AC. This was not the case, they arrived at 4pm and worked until almost midnight. We did not have AC most of that time. Then the technician left 2 vents uncovered in the attic, and thus the house was hot overnight. They returned the next day and worked 9am to 5pm.
*The lead technician had a helper during the install. We later learned that neither was on Morgan's payroll, and one was a minor. We had serious concerns about our homeowners liability / insurance exposure.
*They failed their own pre-inspection and the first county inspection. It took 2 weeks to get the circuit breakers replaced, which was necessary to meet code for the new unit. This caused us concern and we worried about a fire hazard.
*Our neighbors (2 doors down) complained to us that the technician and his helper were arguing outside our house, and using profanity.
*During installation, the technician caused $650.00 damage to our ceilings. Morgan AC did repair the damage and pay the cost. They did however challenge our choice of contractor, as we insisted on one that was bonded, licensed and insured. They did eventually accept our request.
*They did not replace the concrete slab outside, and we requested a credit for that cost. We did not receive one.
*We were told they could install through our attic opening. However the technician insisted on installing through the AC intake duct, which caused damage, and ended up with a replacement of the vent.
*Communication was poor, as we waited 2-3 days for responses to some of our calls.
*The whole experience was drawn out with these issues. We signed the contract and installation occurred on 6/24 - 6/25. The work was completed and ready for final inspection on 8-2-13.
We would NOT recommend Morgan AC to anyone.
