I have used him several times in the past and have always been pleased with his demeanor, service and professionalism, and this time was no different.  He installed new lines from the water heater in the garage and routed them through the attic to an outdoor shower that I was building and then installed the shower valve that I had supplied.  The new lines are also equipped with 1/4 turn shut off ball valves, should they need to be turned off for any reason without interfering with our normal water service to the rest of our house.
If you find yourself in need of any plumbing work and are looking for an honest straight forward plumbing contractor, this is your guy.  I have used his services for well over 10 years and continue to highly recommend him.

He was really good and we recommend him to other people.  He is punctual.  What stood out the most was his attention to detail. Everything has to be perfect.  He wouldn't accept poor quality for himself.  He made us feel comfortable that the job was being done right.  He went above and beyond with most of the things he did.  He did a really good job.

Our Laundry room drain was backing up and we called Mike Phillips and within 2 hours the same day, Brian, his assistant showed up.  He spent an hour cleaning the line, but realized that the line itself went into a hidden tank, and was to come back first thing the next morning with a different snake.  The next morning Mike (the owner) and Brian were both here, and Mike found the exact layout of the pipes, found the underground tank and spent 3 hours cleaning the line.  The tank was full of thick sludge, but he diligently and patiently snaked out at least 50 gallons of this stuff.  His total charge was $195.00, which is too little for all that he did over the 2 days.  I offered to pay him more and he refused to take it.  His normal charge for a drain cleaning is a $135 flat fee.  He did another job for me about 9 years ago and left such a good impression I've kept his phone number all these years.  I know a little about plumbing and this was a tough job which he made simple.  This guy is very good and very reasonable, I can't say enough about the experience.  I wish all contractors were like this.
