We last used this company about 2 1/2 years ago and the trees now needed trimming again. We had 2 oaks with big branches hanging over the roof. The holly tree had a heavy branch that hit the screen on the pool cage when it got windy, and a ligustrum tree that had really lost it's shape. I left a message for Mr. Mays and had a call back the next day. He was in the area and asked if he could come by in a few minutes to discuss what needed to be done. I agreed.
He said the oaks are relatively young and he was concerned that taking as much off the trees as would be needed to keep them from hanging over the roof would not be in the long term health of the trees. He explained more about the trees and how he'd approach the trimming and gave me a price for the work on each one. We decided to have him do all of trees we discussed. His first available time to do this was early the following week. He arrived with the crew on time. They worked quickly and neatly, avoided damaging the azaleas under both oaks. While he took off the some of the branches we were concerned about, the trimming was done in a way that leaves them looking natural rather than wacked. WE know what was done, but to anyone else, they'd probably never guess how much he shaped them while minimizing potential damage from the limbs that had been over the roof. The work done to the trees enhances their value and that of our property. The value of an arborist who understands the trees rather than someone who cuts off limbs makes a big difference.

They were awesome! Three men came to my home to do the work. They were timely and they worked for 12 hours! They stayed all day and worked until the job was complete. My yard looked so good that my neighbors hired Mays, too!
