Shannon does fabulous work!!! I can't believe how perfect the paint job is!! I mean, there ARE NO mistakes!!! This house is our rental house, so we opted for pre-fab cabinets. Shannon is very professional. He does the work when he says he will & if something comes up, he calls first. He is very ethical & trustworthy. One example of this is that he had me make payments as the work performed. There was quite a gap in time with the cabinets & countertop being delivered --thank you, Home Depot. He & his crew are very neat, and just do a great job!! I used him to paint the exterior of the house & will definitely use him again.

Shannon has done work me in the past and has always treated me fairly with quality service & good price. I pre-purchased the vanities and Shannon removed and replaced my bathrooms in 3 short days.

This project was complicated and required much negotiation with the county in terms of permits, etc. Shannon was very obliging and patient, and did an excellent job with the project. He was very easy to work with, answering all our questions in a timely manner and closely supervising any sub contractors he had working on the job. The end result is very beautiful!

The work is complete and all inspections finally passed, but I would not hire Shannon again under any circumstances. He was over 6 weeks late from the contractually agreed upon finish date and I did not like some of the subcontractors he used at all, particularly the electrician. If you use this contractor, know that he'll tell you he will be doing work himself and then he'll hire subs. I would also add a significant late penalty to the contract and you should make it very clear that you will not tolerate rude or aggressive treatment from anyone that he has hired. I had significant clean up, not just random garbage in my yard (and there was plenty of that) but significant haze on the hardwood floors caused by either some sort of a spill or by the chemicals his subs used. It took me several hours and products ("goof off" finally worked) to get the floor clean, and the same was true for the glass in the French doors and the large window.

"I AM VERY SURPRISED AT MEMBER'S REPORT- SHE CALLED ME AFTER COMPLETION TO THANK ME AND RAVED ABOUT HOW "WONDERFUL" MY WORK WAS. THERE WERE SEVERAL REASONS FOR THE LATE FINISH DATE: 1)WINDOWS WE ORDERED CAME IN DAMAGED AND HAD TO BE REORDERED 2)ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR PERSONALLY INFORMED THE MEMBER THAT THEY WERE BACKED UP-IT WAS OF NO FAULT OF THE ELECTRICIAN. ELECTRICIAN TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO THE MEMBER-MEMBER REMAINED IRATE. HOFFMAN CONSTRUCTION DID NOT SAY THAT I WOULD DO ALL THE WORK MYSELF. WHAT I DID SAY WAS THAT I AM A HANDS-ON GENERAL CONTRACTOR. (THIS IS APPARENT IN MY MANY OTHER (GLOWING) REPORTS FROM PREVIOUS CLIENTS.) I WORKED SIDE-BY-SIDE THROUGH MOST PHASES; I WAS THERE OVERSEEING EVERY PHASE, WHICH IS WHAT A GENERAL CONTRACTOR DOES. THE MEMBER CALLED ME, INFURIATED, BECAUSE MY MASON SHOWED UP TO BEGIN WORK BEFORE 7AM- SHE THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE IF HE EVER SHOWED UP AGAIN THAT EARLY. MY WORK ETHIC IS TO BEGIN EARLY, AND GET MY PEOPLE ON THE JOB ASAP; I WAS SURPRISED THAT IT WOULD UPSET THE MEMBER THAT WE WERE PROMPT & RELIABLE. AS FOR BEING NOT PUNCTUAL NOR RESPONSIVE- MEMBER CALLED ME COMPLAINING THAT HER A/C WAS OUT & SHE HAD NO POWER IN HER GARAGE. I WAS ON-SITE IN LESS THAN AN HOUR, ONLY TO DISCOVER THAT IT WAS A GFCI RESET BUTTON TRIPPED (NO FAULT OF OURS) AND MY A/C REPAIR MAN SAID IT WAS A 5AMP FUSE, WHICH HE REPLACED ON THE SPOT. AGAIN, THIS PROBLEM WAS NOT A RESULT US. THE MEMBER WAS VERY AGGRESSIVE & RUDE ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS WITHOUT MERIT."

Shannon was very prompt in giving us a reasonable estimate for the work. It was more within our budget than another company we had contacted. Shannon arranged for his crews to be here. Each team (siding, repainting, installation on new shutters) were here on time and did very fine work. The only delaying factor was rain which held up the painting for a few days.

After talking to people about their nightmarish experiences regarding contractors I joined Angie's List to find the right one who had good reviews. I called three, only one called me back right away, Shannon Hoffman. Liked him from the minute I met him and it went so smoothly my husband and I are searching for another property to use him on (if he will have us that is). I would not only recommend him I would encourage people who were looking for a contractor to use him, no reservations. He is clean, professional, hardworking and honest. He did a lot of work, did it very well and we love the new building. It was our first experience with a contractor and won't be our last due to such an enjoyable, hassle-free experience. Great!

When I called, he went out that day for an estimate. I had to wait a week or so, since it was raining almost every day. He started the job when he promised, and completed the whole house in two days. I am very happy with this company and plan to use them again for the interior as well as my own residence (this was for my rental house).

Initially, Ray and Chris came to our home to paint the newly replaced doors and trim throughout the house. After seeing the high quality job they performed, we asked them to also paint our living room walls and ceiling. A popcorn ceiling is a challenge to work with, but they made it seem easy. Most of the rooms in our house are now painted. Contractors are still working on our house and have asked, who did the painting. They, too, are impressed at the quality workmanship. Ray and Chris take great pride in what they do, and insure customer satisfaction.

Shannon is a man of his word. He has a strong desire to make sure you are satisfied with everything himself or the contractors do. If you want a trustworthy guy, this is the man. I will use his company in the future.

I WAS IN A BIND SINCE I NEEDED TO MOVE THE TOILET PAPER HOLDER ON THAT SAME DAY SO THE WALLPAPER INSTALLER COULD COMPLETE THE JOB AS SCHEDULED. I EXPLAINED MY SITUATION TO SHANNON AND HE TOLD ME HE COULD HELP ME. HE CAME A FEW HOURS LATER. SINCE THE MINIMUM FEE IS $125 HE SUGGESTED I FIND OTHER SMALL REPAIRS HE COULD DO WHILE HE WAS AT MY HOUSE AND HE FIXED THEM ALL. I FELT THE PRICE WAS MORE THAN FAIR SINCE HE GAVE ME SAME DAY SERVICE.
