My home has some odd odor on and off for some 4 years since we moved in. I have tried air purifiers at home and in the air handler unit and we could never identify the source. Also my eyes sometimes get watery. Al and his assistant spent a few hours very thoroughly in the attic and other suspected places. They had all the latest equipment and took samples at a few locations. Laboratory tests arrived a day or so later and I must say that any company can send you such assessment but the difference is analyzing and recommending a path of action. It’s very hard to understand the laboratory because of the terminology but All spent well over and hour explaining it and also answering questions than my wife had. He made sure we don’t have any more questions. I felt he did as good a job as could be done within the budget. He find three places with mold and put together a plan that a remediation company will do. I have to say that Al also gave me a great deal on a second testing that I requested for a property I was about to buy. A deep discount. He find mold and showed me in a semi new townhome and this caused me to back out of the deal and I ended with a much better property to invest in. I didn’t see such customer service and attitude for many years and it’s good to know that there are still professionals like this around. Also I will mention that the best remediation company around per Angislist recommended him and told me he is the best in thoroughness of his assessments. And they were probably right.

Sean was very responsible and professional in getting the original testing done when the house has its initial inspection and again, responsive to get final testing done after completion of remediation work. He and his boss explain everything, answer questions and make you feel more comfortable with the situation. They are great!

I had so many mold “experts” come by and found nothing. I knew it was there and that it was what had been causing my chronic illness for 8 Years. Al and his wife Lisa were amazing. They found much more than even I could have imagined. I bought the report to get into an Dr that could treat me. I lost the home and everything I own in it. As a renter I couldn’t put in a claim to the Homeowner’s insurance. Al’s report ended up getting my Renter’s policy to pay up which all Public Property Adjusters said was impossible. So, for 1300 I not only saved my own life but also got $4000 from Renter’s insurance so far. I should be getting $20,000 more too. Al and his wife are a great team. Very professional indeed but also compassionate and patient. They are pure integrity so if there is not a large issue, they will say so. However, if there is an issue, in 1/5 the time experts were at a loss, Al found everything. An absolute investment as well as mental security after so many prior had believed me crazy. I have dealt with dozens in the Tampa area. Choose Al from the start and you will save a lot of precious time and money.

On Friday, August 11th, 2017, Sean inspected areas that I had a concern, and took a smear sample of the droppings of the chimney flute that flipper's contractor left in the attic, that tested positive for a particular type of mold. There was a wall in one of the bedrooms that when he pressed on it, it looked sort of "bendy" he was worried that something was growing behind the wall or that it was poor drywall. We decided to test the air behind the wall. I was driving home that night and my lungs were burning. When the results came in, they were positive for toxic black mold in the bedroom. No wonder my lungs were burning, sinuses and head were hurting. I'm just very thankful that Sean found the toxic black mold before I bought the house, moved in and got very sick. He saved me from making a $140,000 mistake. I cancelled the contract that day of finding out the results, on Monday, August 14, 2017. I will definitely use them again,. Sean McGrath who came to both our homes was thorough, professional, explained everything well. We were so pleased with the work of the company that we hired him to do a mold inspection on our new home. He was able to determine potential 'hot spots' which were not visible to the naked eye. When I first talked with the owner Al Rabin on the phone, we were impressed with the thoroughness of his explanation of what would be done. Sean was always responsive.

Al was very thorough. He took his time going through my home and conducting the inspection and taking air samples. He also took the time to explain everything to me in detail since this is my first time dealing with an issue like this.

The work went very well, they were very professional and they gave me a very thorough report on the work that was done.

Due to illness from mold inflammation we contacted Al Rabin for a complete mold inspection of our home, studio and vehicle. Al returned our call almost immediately. We discussed my health issues over the phone, discussed the costs involved and the tests to be performed. To our surprise, Al was able to come the next day. Throughout the entire testing process Al and Sean continually made suggestions and educate us regarding mold prevention. During the testing process Al became concerned about the chemicals in the art studio and graciously offered to come back and perform a VOC test at no charge. It is so rare these days, to find someone like Al Rabin. He is genuinely and sincerely concerned about his customers. He is very knowledgeable, and an extremely dedicated professional who is so kind, caring and warm. His immediate responses to all our concerns has been admirable, and were dearly appreciated! Al went out of his way to take all the time necessary to ensure we understood the reports and to answer our often repetitive questions and telephone calls. We received extremely detailed reports as promised of his findings with recommendations for remediation, the names of remediation companies and other suggestions concerning mold. He even offered to give us the name of a doctor who treats mold. All reports were received as promised with extremely thorough explanations of his findings in our home. All issues identified are now being addressed through remediation. We highly recommend their services!

I had previously found mold in my home, in the AC return and it was removed by the AC provider. Certified Mold Assessments(CMA) assured me that the mold had been removed and there were no more signs of mold in that area. CMA's report was thorough and they discussed it with me over the telephone. I was told they would get back with me to discuss getting rid of the small amount of mold that was found in another part of my home. I have not received any further information from the company.

Al Rabin goes out of his way to make customers happy! He came to do a mold inspection in my home on a Sunday. His inspection was very thorough and meticulous and he is very knowledgeable. At no point did I feel like he was in a hurry to finish, on the contrary he spent several hours in my home doing the inspection. Since this process began in Feb 8, 2015 I have contacted Al for additional help and information and he has always responded in a timely fashion. The mold in my home was making me sick and Al was kind enough to give me the name of a doctor that treats people with environmental illnesses, Al recommended several remediation companies, spoke to the industrial hygienist that my insurance company sent, and he is still working with us through out this process. I plan to have Al come and inspect the home after the remediation work takes place on April 2015. If I ever suspect mold, Al will be the one I call!

All tasks listed above were completed with thorough reports with photos sent via email. I called the company after my Doctor had tested me for high levels of black mold and the tests came back positive. I asked the company spokes man about the cost. He said it would be $399.00 and there would be stages. I don't remember the figure $835.00 being mentioned but I was upset about the mold contamination and may have misunderstood. There wasn't an initial written proposal before the work was done which is my fault for not asking for one. An agreement was handed to me to sign after the work was done. Al recommended that I have a decontamination company such as Grime Fighters to work in bath wall. I called Scottos leak detection department and they determined that there was no leak and the area was dry in the bath wall. I doused the area behind the bath sink with a Lysol virus and bacteria disinfectant spray. Heinz AC company found the Trane air handler contaminated with mold but not the ducts. They will come out in the coming week, clean, sanitize and install a lamp that they say will prevent future mold contamination.

Very professional, but it turned out to just be moldy air, no actual mold so the expensive test was not accurate. I was told to hire professional mold remediators, but that was a total waste of a lot of money. Alan called me and explained that moldy air is just as dangerous, so I am doubly unhappy with the remediator I hired who did not treat it as anything that called for special care. I cannot fault Alan Rabin when he did do everything required.

When the results came back, it was determined that mold was growing on the ceiling and walls of a room in our house. He instructed us to get some bids from local Mold Remediation Companies. This was done, and the area where the mold was found was cut out and cleaned up. Al, was called back to take new air samples to determined if all the mold was removed. Upon further testing, it was discovered that some mold still was present. Al worked with the Remediation Company to find a solution to remove the remaining mold spores. After the new air samples were made and sent to the lab, the results came back all clear. I must say, that Al Rabin was very professional with the way he went about his business. He was very concerned about my wife's health and even called back a few weeks after the job was completed to see if she was doing better. I would certainly use CMA again if the need arises and I would highly recommend Al Rabin to anyone who has or suspect that there might be mold present in their home.

The way that he fought for me with the insurance company and showed compassion through the whole thing made me happy. He was able to get service providers to come in and do the work for me. He also helped me deal with the outside adjustor and made the whole process very easy. Now, things are better than they were before. He saw me through from the beginning to the end. I cannot rave enough about him and his company.

Mr. Rabin tested all areas in the master bathroom as well as surrounding areas-master closet and hallway for mold. He is an extremely professional and pleasant person to work with. Shortly after testing we received the lab report via email. This report was put together by Mr. Rabin with the test findings from the lab results. A very thorough report many pages long full of information regarding what was found. Not a simple yes or no for the mold but the report contained information regarding exactly what types of mold and their numbers. Mr. Rabin then took the time to go over the report with me line by line over the phone to be sure I understood exactly what I was dealing with. He also suggested, at my request, a couple of mold remediators, both also very professional people. Mr. Rabin was also kind enough to come back out to my home and test another area of concern the following week just to put my mind at ease.

Al Rabin, the owner of Certified Mold Assessments, Inc., was one of the most professional and thorough contractors I have dealt with in many years. Al was so complete in his testing that he insisted on testing our A/C units a contractor had been hired to clean earlier the same day, his thoroughness exposed a dishonest contractor, and allowed us to remedy a situation that would otherwise remain hidden and problematic.
