"Mr Kitpalani, we are sorry that you seem very frustrated about this subject, but we have exhausted our resources trying to assist you. However, we have not heard back from you at this time. We have sent you the warranty information multiple times, including in the beginning when we completed the project. We again request that you update this review to appropriately capture what happened. Please let us know if you need anything further and we thank you for your business."
"Thanks for the good review. The nasty beast of a pool turned out better than I thought. Now your renters will be happy. Thanks for the business."
"Yes you had a 12 volt transformer and the light that was given to you was 120 volts. So we by passed the transformer and viola the light worked."
"Yes thank you for the great review. I appreciate some of the points you gave me that I need to concentrate on. Like what to expect as the pool gets done. I used to have instructions to give the to the customer. Since, now the warranty is done on line and the chemical parameters are on those papers. I think that I should get back to giving those instructions out. Thanks again."
This, though, is not the real problem. Earlier this year (approximately March 2016) we started noticing some strange stains appearing on the bottom and on the one side of the pool. As it started to get a bit worse, I contacted Scott to ask him about the issue and he said that he and John would come out to look at it the following week. However, no one ever came out. Since then my wife and I have called numerous times both Scott and John, and neither will return our calls. I guess they have caller ID, so they now have our numbers identified, so I guess they have no intention to look at our problem, which should be covered under the supposed 1 year labor and 10 year surface warranty.
Therefore, if you are planning to use this company, I'd recommend going somewhere else. That is, unless you are sure you won't have any warranty issues. Additionally, there lack of responsiveness during the project was less than good. Be smart find a better contractor than this one.
Unfortunately, this means lawyer fees for me
I was initially excited as this was around my budget. He started with an initial shock and treatment, waiting for 1 week sometimes waiting for "things to settle down". He was going to vacuum out some leaves (since i had broken screens for few weeks then fixed).
After the initial start, he mentioned my pool valve ( valve cost 90$, he charged me 180$) was bad due to a screw looking rusty, so i agreed for him to replace it (didn't think much of it), but he charged 100$ to replace (reasonable, due to plumbing etc)... In my excitement and urge to get this pool back in order I agreed to replacing that valve.
After shocking it again again (1 week since he started) then he waited almost 2 weeks before coming back out, I had to call and remind him to see when he would return... he came back and stated "we need to replace your grids now because those are broken" .... he opened the grids and left them outside in the yard just left my filter all dis-assembled. Over-quoted me on the price of grids by 150$. This pricing and scheme and initial price bought me into letting him win the bid to perform services, but I felt like he started just bait and switching.
One of the things I liked about Scott was his responsiveness, however his lack of professionalism and engagement to completing my project is what ultimately led me to hire another company. He never finished the job, to this date has not called to see when he could finish as I paid half of the services up-front CASH and never received a receipt via email as he stated (he hand wrote a receipt on a flyer... thats when I realized something wasn't up. I tried to call John Skop, however it forwards to Scott and unable to contact any one else to help resolve this with the company....
Take-Aways:
Be cautious of paper receipts as I feel this service tech performed under the company's name, but did it as a side job, hence not enough time devoted to it and no paper trail... Use at your own risk.
"Thanks for your business and review. John"
Pool looks great and everything is working well as expected.
"Thanks for your business and great review"
"We got a average rating, which I feel should be at least a B rating. Yes the first appointment was missed but we did resurface her pool and we were on schedule every time after the first meeting. We went over and above as the customer had major leaks in the pool that had nothing to do with our work. We saved the customer over $300 to repair the leak. I dont understand why we got reated at a C. Thanks for your business."
"We never did anything for this customer."
