- Roy Smith Screens & Shutters, Inc. was not licensed to contract or subcontract the job of installing hurricane impact windows and sliding glass doors even though the representative said the company was appropriately licensed, had great installers and did work in communities around mine.
- Filed a complaint against Roy Smith Screens & Shutters, Inc. with Palm Beach County on Oct. 10, 2008 which yielded a $500. fine against Roy Smith Screens & Shutters, Inc. for acting outside of its aluminum specialty licensure.
- Filed a complaint with the State of Florida for unlicensed activity which yielded a Cease and Desist letter on April 29, 2013.
