Florida Master Home Inspectors

It has been 2 years since we have moved in and we are still fixing the house. Just to note few things: water heater broke the week we moved in, roof had to replaced within first year, driveway had to be replaced within first year, pool tiles are coming off, nook Window started leaking because of improper sealing, the list goes on and on and on. Very poor inspection report, would not recommend at all

Excellent.  This is the 2nd time I used Gordon.  He is extremely meticulous and professional.  As a former real estate consultant and recent seller of my own home., I saw "Big" companies come in with all kinds of gadgets and crew. They missed some key issues.  Gordon is not about the "fluff".  He is extremely through and covers everything.  Nothing got past him.  I will continue using him in all my properties in the future personally and I will be referring him to any of my buyers in their purchases as well.

He check and ran all appliances, check all outlets, point all areas of need. He sent a clear concise report with pictures. He went on the roof and in the attic.  No stone was unturned.

Home inspection

I was in a bind and needed an inspection the next day. I was buying a short sale and was in a rush. This provider was the only one who could come out to complete it for me. The man was very professional and nice. I haven't written this review for so long because I really didn't want to say anything bad because he really was nice. Initally everything appeared good he walked me through the home and took many pictures. On our tour around the home I noticed some things he had missed and asked about them for example the internal vacuum system. He then took photos and added it to his report.
 Once we moved in we reviewed his report to see what we could fix. Many of the outlined issues were working fine. For example he said the controls on the jacuzzi tub were in reverse order, when we looked at it everything was fine. Another example was the air conditioning wasn't working properly and needed to be replaced soon turns out the breaker needed to be switched on. In addition to reviewing all the said problems, we also moved in and noticed MANY things that were not in the report that should have been. For example: all the electrical outlets, lights, and intercom controls on the outside of the property do not work. We noticed the water in the upstairs shower leak to the downstairs bathroom whenever on. We moved in within 30 days of the inspection and noticed these things.
I realize we were in a pinch and needed an inspector but when you are paying 400,000 for a house I really wish I had a more in depth review of the property and that is why I ultimately decided to write this review. I would not recommend this inspector to a friend.

They were very efficient and they went over the report with me. They also sent me a copy within 24 hours. The only problem that I have is they said the breakers were fine, but when we tried to use hot water July 4th there was none. The plumber came out and said that there was no electricity to the water cooler. It just strikes me as odd that the breaker waS fine during inspection and there was no hot water less than a month later. It may be coincidental, but I was surprised to have it happ[en.

The inspector (Gordon) was very diligent in inspecting all systems and aspects of the home I am purchasing.  The inspection took about 2.5 hours after which we reviewed all findings and I was given a preliminary inspection report. This was followed up with complete reports and pictures the next morning via email. I was impressed with the thoroughness of the inspection conducted by Gordon. We discussed several issues during the course of the inspection and he made it simple to understand things that needed repair or replacement. I found Gordon to be personable and knowledgeable and it was a pleasure to interact with him during the course of the inspection. I would not hesitate to use him again in the future.

Made appt. for next day. Gordon arrived right on time. Took a look in the attic and asked a few questions. He then took the time to explain what I would have to have done for the mitigation to be of any help to me. He didn't charge me for the call even after I offered. Nice to deal with any honest person. Would HIGHLY recommend for inspections.

Gordon discovered some repairs that I would not have noticed. The inspection was well worth the money. I would highly recommend Gordon if you are considering buying a home. Gordon was professional with all parties involved, buyer and real estate agents.

Went well with a few issues to be resolved we would of never known without the inspection.

The President of the company actually performed my inspection/wind mitigation report.  Gordon was punctual, professional and very thorough.  He did go over all of the information with me at the end of the inspection. I was told that I would receive a typed report, with pictures and cost estimations by 8 a.m. the next morning and I did.  I believe that all local realtors should use Florida Master Home Inspectors on their lists of preferred providers for home inspections.  Great Job!

The inspector was excellent. He was thorough and on time. He did everything that he said that he would do. He was very nice also. My daughter has also used this company before as well. My inspection report was very thorough and neatly done. My only thing, was that I was unable to get the pictures on my computer because of my older computer. I wish that I would have gotten a hard copy of them instead of on the computer.  Other than that I was very satisfied with their work.

Gordon was a fabulous home inspector. He spent over two hours in the home, and went through every last detail! He was thorough and so easy to talk to, about things that are so foreign to the every day person. He was extremely knowledgeable!!! We just moved to Florida from New York and didn't know much about the houses down here, he made us feel totally comfortable in our purchase, with his obvious expertise in his field. I have been using Gordon for many years with my Real Estate business and as always he was very punctual and thorough.  Would high recommend his service for anyone looking for an inspection service.

My experience was excellent. The inspector was actually a few minutes early and he checked every nook and cranny. He noticed that there was a small leak and he talked to the home owner and he tried to figure out where it was coming from and he came back after he had left to double check some things. He didn't charge any more. He went above and beyond what I was expecting. He answered everything, he was very knowledgeable, he explained everything and anything that he found or saw he brought it up before I could. I would recommend him to anybody that asks about a home inspector.

He performed very professionally. Came back for free after the seller had to do some work to certify roof. Was very thorough would use the company again.

I've been using FL Master Home Inspectors for 5 years in my real estate business.  Gordan is one of the best IMO.  This is a full time business for he and his wife.  Gordan is thorough in what he does, but does not waste time.  He gives you a handwritten report on site and sends a more comprehensive computerized report the next morning.

This was a good experience.  Gordon performed the inspection in a professional manner.  He was on time for the appointment.  He provided a thorough and high quality inspection. This was followed with excellent report with detailed explanation, pictures and recommendations.  He discovered a number of problems that were not apparent to us. His estimates for repairs were very close to the actual cost which is a good indication of the depth of his knowledge. Gordon answered all our questions about the required improvements during the inspection and later on when we called him.  He was always very helpful. I would highly recommend Florida Master Inspectors to anyone needing a property inspection.

That was good. I thought they were what they said they were. They were prompt. They were honest and they deliver what they said they will deliver so I was satisfied.

I purchased by house last year.  It was a short sale, so you never know....You really have to have a good inspector.....My daughter has used Anne & Gordon Marchant a few years ago when she purchased her first home.  She was a single female without much knowledge of owning a home.  Gordon took the time to walk her through the inspection so she understood everything.  She felt very secure with the purchase of the home.  So when I needed a home inspector; I of course, when to FLORIDA MASTER HOME INSPECTORS too.  Not only were they polite, efficient and on time, they came back several times to take additional attic photos required by my home owner's insurance.  Gordon climed up in the attic (attic, south Florida, summer) several more times to take the additional pics of the hurricane straps.  He never charged me extra for this either.  I cannot say enough positive things about this company.  I wish there were more honest business people like this to deal with!!

Very well. Anne was courteous and professional. Coordinating the inspection from out of town, Anne worked with me over the phone and was very good in following-up. Florida Master Home Inspectors' inspector was prompt, professional and thorough. I highly recommend!

.Showed up on time, prepared, with the right equipment and attitude.  Gordon was calm, friendly and very professional.  Knowing that Mr. Marchant is a master inspector gave us more confidence in his report.
