Ed and Co. are awesome. After calling and leaving a message, I was promptly called back within 15 minutes. I explained my issue, Ed walked me through a few troubleshooting steps and my old pump was deemed inoperable and a replacement was needed. He let me know that he would get a pump ready and be on his way shortly. He arrived promptly checked the old pump again, just to make absolutely sure a new one was needed - then it was deemed dead and a new one was installed. Ed was extremely friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend Ed and his team for any plumbing or wells and pumps that you may need. Thank you.

It was great! Ed came with his son and they even taught me how to shut off the main water supply to the house and that wasn't their job! They went the extra mile. I would highly recommend them. I now have them on speed dial!

Ed diagnosed both well and pump. He found my 20 + yr pump fine but would need a new well. He then gave me another less costly alternative. There was no cost for services..Ed puts the customer first and conducts himself with traditional values of honesty and strong character. As a senior citizen, in all my years can not say enough. It's win -win situation for you

Short story: discovered no water in house at 2 p.m. Called and left a message at 2:27 p.m. By 3:45 p.m. I had a new well pump installed and water in the house. Details: At 2:33 p.m. Kelly called to tell me she had texted my address to Kyle and he was on his way. Kyle arrived within the half hour. I watched him swap out and test the well pump starter capacitor. Pump ran but had very, very low pressure. Determination: time for a new pump. I'd been waiting for this day... not in the anticipation sort of way, but in the "I knew this day would come" sort of way. Kyle gave me a price for a replacement pump, he had one on the truck, he installed it, I paid the man and he was on his way within 45 minutes. If you have well or pump issues, whether they are irrigation or house water supply, you should really consider calling these folks. I've dealt with Ed, Kelly, Tony, and Kyle on various stages of well replacement and now pump, water treatment, etc. and everybody has been awesome to work with. See photos... old BAD, new GOOD

Initially after buying a vacation home, I discovered that there was a large amount of sand coming in through the water supply which unfortunately wasn't reasonably discoverable during the home inspection. Over time this had caused several of the fixtures to leak. I called Ed's and set an appointment to discuss re-mediating this problem. We discussed several possibilities including filtration systems, etc. but settled on installing a new well. Ed was very familiar with wells in my neighborhood, as he had installed many nearby, explained the water table, what sorts of minerals they dealt with, how deep most wells were, etc. The lot size is non-compliant with the health department code for distance from well to septic. While he was there Ed called the health department to discuss a different question I had about distances from septic field, which was totally unrelated to our work but very helpful for my planning. I appreciated that. Ed's office emailed over permit applications which I filled out. We waited for the health department to approve a well location, and they installed a new well. I was not present for any of this. Upon arriving back to the home, about a week after installation I had no water! It was a Sunday, so that was a bit alarming. Although I felt badly calling on a Sunday, I sort of needed water. I reached Kelly in the office and explained the situation and within 15 minutes I got a call back from Ed instructing me on what was probably wrong. He talked me through a quick repair of the pressure control switch over the phone and sure enough, boom, we had water! But oh no, the water was brackish... sort of the color of... well when you don't flush after you go #1. I called Ed back and explained the situation, he instructed me to let the water run for a while and he'd be out in the morning to assess the situation. Then a tornado struck that night. I mean seriously, how much could go wrong in 12 hours! I called the office just to get a time frame when Ed might be coming by so I could plan my day and Kelly told me that they had about 12 customers who had no water due to the store and they were out fixing those clients. I totally understood. However, within an hour Ed was at my house. He tested the water, looked at a sample of it, explained that what I was seeing were tannins in the water which are not harmful health wise but will turn your white sheets tan. He suggested I install a water softener (he was actually surprised I didn't have any water treatment system in place before.) He quoted me a price which was reasonable and told me someone would be out the next morning to install the water softener. Which is exactly what happened and within 24 hours I had the best shower I've had in a year. To sum up, this experience was one of the best I've had through Angie's List ever. Everyone was polite, professional, and honest. No one tried to sell me anything they nor I didn't think I needed. The prices were reasonable, and the service was always prompt. Over time it's likely I'll have to replace parts of the system and I won't hesitate to call Ed's again.

This company was extremely responsive, coming out the very same day to assess the problem and provide a quote, and coming the next morning to do the work of replacing our old sprinkler pump. They charged a fair price, replaced the pump with a high quality pump of much better quality than one would find at a local home improvement store, and provided the pump cover at a very fair price as well. All in all, excellent work from this company and although I hope I don't need their services again, if needed, they'd be the company to go to in a heartbeat.

From the first call when their main concern was whether or not my problem was an emergency to completion of the project,  Eds Wells and Pumps gave first class service.  i have itemized the things i especially appreciated.
o  After hours call was returned after business hours.
o  After Ed ascertained that my call was not an emergency, he told me someone would call in morning to set an appointment.
o Actually called back and told me someone would be here at 8:00 AM
o Kyle arrived at 8:00
o  He had all he needed on truck (including new circuit breaker)  so he did not have to leave to get parts.
o  Installed pump quickly and efficiently.
o  Made next day appointment to repair water softener (not mentioned by me in original call)
o  Repaired water softener on day promised at time promised.
o During this entire process I felt that my problem was their first priority

Service of any kind in our area has always been a homeowners nightmare.  Ed's Well and pump is an amazing exception to the rule.  I highly recommend them.

I called Ed based on the reviews. I had fiddled with the well pump adjustment and got my system all messed up. I called Ed and he was able to come out the next morning. He was right on time, friendly , knowledgeable and professional. He looked over my old system and readjusted everything with pressure better than new. Because of the age of the pump, 1994, he said it was on borrowed time, but said when it fails they can be out the next day to install a new one. Had I called another outfit I am sure they would have scarred me into putting a new system right away. I want to say I would highly recommend Ed without question. He is honest and a pleasure to deal with. I won't go with anyone else for my well and pump needs.

Ed's Wells and Pumps is the kind of professional we hoped for when we paid to join Angie's List--Highly Recommended, Immediately Responsive, Honest Pricing, and Personable. He was recommended to me by another A-rated Angie's List professional who handles my well water treatment service; JR Hayes of Aquatise. He was also A-rated by all his customers including neighbors in my vicinity.
Ed's Wells answered my call on the second ring even though it was Saturday. He offers 24/7 emergency service as well. He has two phone numbers to reach him easily.
He advised me of how to try to solve my no-water emergency on my own before getting him involved, saving me any service call expense!
Finally, as far as being personable rather than cut-and-dry, he was eager to help with my emergency. Just read his reviews and his
cordial manor is referred to very frequently. Since his son Eric is part of this family-owned team, it will be a pleasant and non-pressured experience right from your first call.
Thanks to Angie and her ratings, I struck gold on my first try. Ed Hampson's phone number will be the first I dial in the future.

6 weeks ago, my well head was damaged by a sod company. The sod company repaired the well head but I have been having problems with my house water and it finally quit altogether on Saturday evening at 7:30pm. I called Ed on Sunday morning  (Mothers Day) and he came out and replaced the wellhead plumbing and check valve and new connectors into and out of our pump.
Within one hour he had our water back on and he tested the pressure tank and cutoff pressures.
He rebuilds pumps, install wells and also provides water softeners. Both my pump and water softener are 10 years old and will need repair or replace.
Next Time I have any water issues I will only call ed
He is very professional and knows exactly what needs to be done

The first thing you notice about Ed is how polite he is. After the well and pump were installed the electrician thought the pump needed to be moved. Although the pump was not moved, when I spoke to Ed he told me there wouldn't be any issue for him to move the pump. His team is very polite.
