After 17 years of being a career furniture salesman, our father and founder Sheldon “Shelly” Slone dreamed of owning his very own furniture store. After purchasing an existing furniture business in 1980, that dream became reality. S.J. Slone’s Furniture Gallery was born in a small metal building on highway 17-92. No longer did Shelly have to conform to the corporate ways of selling furniture. Our father’s success was created offering personalized service, quality products, at an affordable price. All qualities we continue to live by today! The rapid growth of S.J. Slone’s Furniture Gallery proved to be too great for the original building. Several moves to larger facilities around town throughout the years, only led us back to where it all began. Fast forward to the year 1991, young brothers Louis and Michael Slone join forces to begin a new era. It was the making of a new legacy in furniture here in Central Florida. It was the beginning of what is known today as Slone Brothers Furniture. Still housed today in the original location on highway 17-92 Longwood, the physical location is the only remnant left of the old showroom. Today, after a major 5500 square foot addition and a complete interior and exterior renovation, Slone Brothers is better than ever! Although there are little signs of that original structure, the building holds over 30 years of fond memories as children growing up around the furniture business. From helping Dad assemble and deliver furniture, to dusting and vacuuming to keep the place tidy, to pulling weeds to keep the grounds looking their best. It’s that same pride and hard work that continues to be the formula for success at Slone Brothers Furniture. The Slone Brothers are proud of the solid reputation our family has developed over the years, now serving children and even the grand children of customers our father once served. Today Slone Brothers Furniture is the premiere furniture and design showroom in Central Florida, servicing the Winter Springs, Lake Mary, Oviedo, Winter Park, Orlando, Maitland, Sanford and Longwood areas.
