Jim's appearance was very professional and he was on time for the appointment, BUT the work his men did was sloppy. They placed the conduit where I told them a retaining wall was going to be built and had to re-do it. They had conduit going around the molding and up the side of my house an extra foot more than necessary. (I was later told by Jim that 90% of the people he works with would not want the conduit to go under or through the trim - I pointed out to him that had he called I would have asked that the conduit be hidden behind the trim, but he said that he can't be calling customers on "where to put every little switch or box").They installed a USED switch box with two screws broken off in it so that the switches were loose, and the cover plate they used for the double toggle switches had two 1-1/4"diam. holes - you could see the wires inside the box! This was for an outside switch that was supposed to be waterproof! When I asked Jim to fix it he stuffed in some black foam and said it was OK. He argued with me when I pointed out that it wasn't fixed properly, and refused to change it. When I told him I was unhappy with the work, and didn't understand why he couldn't have called me if there were some questions about how to do some of the work, he argued with me and called me 'controlling'. I pointed out to him that it was my house and my money, and I thought that I should have some say in the job. At one point Jim said that he was just trying to save me some money. I replied that I wanted the job done correctly NOT cheaply (it was a small part of a total makeover of my pool and patio area) Finally, I asked him to just take his money and leave. Later I ended up replacing the defective switch box, AND the oversized junction box they used, AND I put the existing outlet box back where it was originally, AND I re-located the conduit he had snaking around the molding up the side of my house that looked hideous.
